We placed a second order with Project Blinds (now call Project Shutters) in February 2024, following an excellent experience in 2023. Unfortunately, our experience this time has been deeply disappointing. After receiving no updates for several months, we contacted Project Blinds at the end of June to enquire about our order status. Following multiple telephone calls and email exchanges, we were finally informed in July that our order had been lost. Project Blinds offered a discount and promised delivery within 8-9 weeks. Whilst we appreciated the gesture, we sought concrete assurances regarding the delivery. Come August, with no update from Project Blinds, we again reached out to check on our order's progress. What followed was a frustrating series of calls and emails, each met with the same excuses. By November, we were 18 weeks beyond the promised 8-9 week delivery timeline. Our attempts to resolve the situation were consistently met with silence. Despite multiple escalations to Jamie, which we were told our complaint had been passed on, we never received the promised callback to discuss our concerns or explain the extensive delays to him. After giving Project Blinds three final opportunities to provide assurances and communicate effectively, we ultimately demanded a full refund of our deposit (all correspondence documented via email). Whilst we eventually received our refund, this only came after persistent chasing. The whole experience suggests deeper issues within the organisation—perhaps significant operational changes or an inability to fulfil their order backlog. The complete lack of transparent communication was particularly frustrating; some honest dialogue would have been greatly appreciated. We feel compelled to share our experience, particularly as Project Blinds continues to promote 6-week lead times through sponsored advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. This seems misleading given our experience, and we wonder whether other customers have faced similar issues. More...
