We sent our Staffy, Blu, to Orange Ridge’s 3-week Urban Masterclass with Jake to work on his lead reactivity and the difference has been huge.
Blu used to bark and lunge at anything that moved. Walks were stressful, and we were losing confidence. Jake’s approach was clear, calm and honest from the start.
By the end of the programme, Blu was walking with much more control and focus, and we finally had the tools to handle tricky moments. The handover was super helpful, and we feel like we’ve got our dog and our walks back.

Mowgli boarded with Tom for 3 weeks and had the absolute best time! I got daily update videos of the mischief my little rascal of a dog got up to and Tom handled him expertly. We used Orange Ridge this winter (2024-5) whilst away on holiday a couple of times. The team did a fantastic job of taking care of Nala. The communication in the run up to and during his stay was great - lots of photos and videos so you can see what fun they're having. Tom, our trainer, was excellent. He was extremely generous with his time from the outset to really understand our dog’s personality and behaviours. It took a few days for our dog to settle being away from home in a new environment, and during this time Tom gave us multiple updates, and adapted his training plans to allow our dog to settle. We could tell Tom is a seasoned professional from his approach, and after a few days our dog was happy and content in Tom’s care. He has come back more settled, calm and obedient (which is what we were training for). We had professional trainers help us in the past from pup stages but this time it feels like very strong foundations have been set in Tom’s care, and Tom gave us great guidance on how to continue building from this. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the work Kim did with my Labradoodle, Missy. She went from being completely all over the place - pulling on the lead, ignoring me, barking when excited - to a much calmer, more focused pup.

With over 30 years of combined experience in dog training, we saw a consistent need for personalised, expert-led training programs to address common behavioural issues like leash pulling, unreliable recall, and anxiety. Yes, we provide online consultations where we can assess your dog’s specific training needs, offer expert advice, and create a personalised plan. This allows us to work with clients who may not be able to attend in-person sessions. Additionally, we offer video updates throughout the training process so clients can track their dog’s progress remotely and stay engaged with their training journey.
