What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is unlocking the potential of working breeds, especially HPRs (Hunt, Point, Retrieve). These dogs are intelligent, driven, and thrive when given the right balance of mental and physical stimulation. I enjoy helping owners understand their dog’s natural instincts and finding productive, rewarding ways to channel that energy—whether it’s structured training, enrichment activities, or refining their focus at home. Seeing an HPR settle into a fulfilling, well-balanced life is what gets me up in the morning!
What inspired you to start your own business?
On Point Pet Services started because of Nala, our rescued German Shorthaired Pointer. When we brought her home, she was anxious, full of energy, and completely misunderstood. Like so many HPRs, she needed more than just a walk (which she wasn't even getting at the previous owners home) she craved structure, mental stimulation, and a purpose.
Through training, patience, and a deep understanding of her working instincts, we transformed her into a happy, fulfilled companion. She taught me just how incredible these dogs are when given the right guidance, and that’s what inspired me to help others. Now, I work to support owners of working breeds, ensuring their dogs can thrive in a home environment while still embracing what they were bred to do.

Yes, I offer virtual training sessions for owners who need guidance but aren’t local to me. Whether you’re struggling with basic obedience, recall, or managing the energy of a working breed at home, I can provide tailored advice and step-by-step support via video calls.
Virtual sessions are great for troubleshooting behavioural challenges, refining training techniques, and ensuring you have the right structure in place for your dog. You’ll get personalised coaching and a clear plan to follow—all from the comfort of your own home.

Day training - £100 per day
Your dog spends the day in a structured training environment, with multiple tailored sessions, real-world exposure, and a handover at pickup to keep progress going at home.
Board + train - Prices from £600 per week
Our Board and Train programme is designed for owners who want professional, hands on training for their dogs in a structured environment. Your dog will stay with us for a minimum of two weeks, receiving daily training tailored to their individual needs. Whether you’re struggling with lead manners, recall, or general obedience, this programme provides focused, immersive training to build lasting behaviour changes.
