Stay away from this company Scott Ferguson and Cory rogue traders, scammed me out of £2000 did nothing! Police and trading standard reported!!!

We recently hired North Peaks roofing to install a new flat roof. Scott Ferguson and Corry doubled the cost of the work, demanded half the money on day 2, and have left us with an unfinished incredibly badly done roof that potentially needs completely replacing. They’ve also damaged our property.
We have reported them to Trading Standards, the police, and companies house.

Previously left a review and can't amend. Can not stress how furious I am with this company. Got quoted for our chimney stack to be removed and log burner flue and cawling to be replaced. Got told we wouldn't have to make any payments until the end (even written in the contract). After a day Scott came in and asked for half of the money "for materials". I agreed and paid. After the second day they found another "issue" with the roof. Got a quote and agreed to pay as we thought we may aswell get it done to prevent further issues. On the 7th december (2 weeks later) we had storm dengibh which caused the brand new roof to come off. Now nobody is stupid enough to believe that after only 2 weeks a new roof is "normal" to come off in such "bad weather". Our cawling also came off. I've been messaging near enough every day to have this problem fixed just to be told "we'll be there so and so day for definite" and they just never turn up. I've been more than patient but waiting over a month after paying nearly £5000 i think is just so unprofessional and disgusting. I will be taking this to trade standards and if not further as it's getting beyond a joke now. Also want to add we "paid" for new cawling just for our old one to have been put back on and also they left leftover slates loose on our roof that could've blown off and damaged cars or hit somebody. Quoted us for a new flat roof. Scott seemed like a decent person. We agreed a price for a new flat roof. When they arrived, they were not at all professional. After the first day, the quoted more than doubled. On the second day they demanded a large amount of cash, despite saying originally we would pay on completion. I felt intimidated as I had no roof. We contacted Trading standards who then called Scott. Moments later his 2 people left our job. The roof is terrible. We suspect the entire roof will need replacing.
We looked at the business on Companies house, the business only came into being 7 days ago, despite their website saying 25 years experience. Also companies house said the director Scott Ferguson was 25 years old. He most definitely was not. There were two men working on our roof, one guy was young and inexperienced, the other told us he was a bricklayer not a roofer. They arrived at ten in the morning and we mostly gone by 4pm.

Hired the team through bark did a good job to my flat roof clean and quite quick will calling again for my next project !!
