My journey with Nina, has been amazing, considering in 2023, my Body CompositionResults showed I was very overweight(with an extra17% body fat) and I was dehydrated with my body not holding onto sufficient water ( only 42%). In addition I wanted somehelping, managing my kidney disease, achingbones and underactive thyroid with the rightfood, drink and lifestyle.Over the past eighteen months, I have lost 26lbs of body fat, have reached an optimumhydration level whilst maintaining my muscleand bone mass.I have been taking supplements, where necessary, getting the majority of nutrients from a healthy balanced diet.Exercise is important- I have increased aquafit from 1 session to 3 sessions weekly, Pilates to 2 classes and I’m in the gym twice a week. On top I walk 2 miles daily with myborder collie.I have regular blood tests, which Nina arranges for me, to keep an eye on kidneyhealth, pre diabetes and raised cholesterol.I am feeling happy and much better within myself.I am nearing my goal of a BMI of 25.Thank you Nina for this incredible journey, having its normal high’s and low’s of life. So far I have had three meetings with Nina to discuss ways in which I can improve my diet to help with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high sugar levels. She has been immensely helpful with advice and recommendations. After an initial consultation I have had a full body analysis and allergy/intolerance testing. Already I am able to think about some ways in which I can improve my diet and am aware of the positives and negatives of my current nutritional status. I did wonder how seeing a nutritionist could help having tried slimming groups, online courses and various diet plans before with no success but I have to say that seeing Nina was worth every penny. Nina analysed my diet and eating habits and identified the specific problem areas I needed to address then provided a plan and the monthly support to achieve the necessary lifestyle changes. Having spent a long and miserable time suffering from stomach cramps, diarrhoea, and rapid weight loss, I had all the usual medical checks but with no conclusion. Nina has been so lovely ❤ I have always struggled with my weight and since struggling with my mobility (I'm 38) I have found it so tough to lose weight - not being able to just do lots of exercise like before 🤦♀️ I came to see if a nutritionist could help me to lose weight ahead of my wedding giving myself 6 months up til a month before the big day 💒 The BEST bit for me has definitely been the body composition scans that Nina provides because they show you WHERE the loss has come from - this is particularly important if you have been good but your weight has remained the same 👍 Well, here I am now (6 months later) and I've lost 5cm/2 inches from my waist AND 5cm/2 inches from my hips. My BMI has come down from 42 to 38.8. I went to Nina with a specific issue - how can I lower my cholesterol level through sensible eating? After completing a food diary and discussing my lifestyle/eating habits, Nina conducted a full analysis of my diet and body composition. I thought I was being healthy by following a low carb diet but this showed up the fact that my diet was much higher in saturated fat than I realised. I've now got a healthy eating plan which is easy to follow and I feel so much better educated about heart health. She has also given me some great advice on supplements which compliment my diet.
