As a teacher, I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to learn, work and improve. I try to create relaxed atmosphere, where students feel free to express their own views, what they want to achieve and how they would like to do it. I understand that not everybody wants to become a professional musician, however I am quite strict with the basics of sound production and posture, so that there is a good understanding of the instrument and no harm could happen due to strained muscles.
Every person is different, that is why I believe that different teaching methods should be used for different students. All of my work is carefully planned ahead to suit those needs. I was very lucky to have the chance to study through two very different musical systems –the eastern and the western European styles, so I am using a balanced “diet”, taking the good from both worlds.

As I said earlier, I do work hard so that my students have a good basic technique, but that does not mean that creativity is left behind even in the early stages of learning to play.

As students progress, I encourage their critical thinking, leading towards the development of their own style of musical interpretation.

The role of the teacher is that of a guide: someone who you trust to get you to where you want or need to be.
