Himself and Megan from Memory Box Media were incredible, shot my Dad’s wedding this weekend and we were so lucky to have this pair with us! ! The entire family have said it felt like Nathan was simply an extension of us, made everyone feel super comfortable and confident in front of the camera, even some of our more shy guests! Such a bubbly and funny personality and just what you need on what could be the most stressful day of your life! He was incredibly patient with all of our siblings wanting different random pictures we’d never even mentioned prior and made everyone feel like it was their big day! I cannot recommend Nathan (and Megan and Lauren) enough! I got married in June with the full day photography and videography package. He really took the time to make sure he knew what we wanted and check that he'd be able deliver it. Nathan didn't just come and snap a few pictures but really contributed to our enjoyment on the day and we're so happy he was part of it. He fit right in with us both and our wedding party and guests. And by that I mean his banter was a good (or crap) as ours! He is a really calm and laid back but reliable guy. He helped keep us both calm and his snarky sense of humour really helped remove any stress or tension in the wedding build up. My husband constantly bemoaned my disregard of our wedding budget in the build up but even he very quickly said he was glad we went with the full package with Nathan and how he is absolutely worth every penny! I've only seen 2 pictures so far but they are stunning and I so can't wait to see the rest! 😍 More...

Nathan was very easy to work with. He shot photos for our launch event involving local councillors - around 30 people. The photos were great. Nathan communicated quickly and easily, telling us what he needed to make it successful, and got us the photos just a few hours after the event. More...

I was very lucky to have known Nathan O'Brien outside of his photography business in a shared workplace, as shortly after I'd gotten engaged, I cheekily asked if he had any availability on our wedding day. Thankfully he did! And we have many wonderful photos as proof of that. I'd known from the get go Nathan O'Brien Photography would do a fantastic job (I'd seen snippets of his work beforehand after all!) but he also has such a fantastic sense of humour and a real eye for detail. Combine that with passion for his work and countless hours put into it, and you have a top class photographer right there. We were initially uncertain which package to pick but in the end decided for 10 - 12 hours. It was worth every penny - trust people when they say the day goes by in a blur! Nathan captured so many wonderful shots, posing and candid, and it was so touching to see parts of the day that I didn't get to see myself, (absolutely love the photo of Mandy Shaw and Kirk Trodden stood outside the church by the way, that was a master shot!). Nathan was always on the ball with communications and very accommodating to requests. He blended in beautifully with the families and friends at the wedding and I think many had a laugh with him! I've looked over the photos myself many times; I honestly can't get enough of them! The wedding photo reel video ending with the shot of our wedding invitation pinned by magnets on my parents' fridge was such a clever little detail, and also the cherry on top for me (that poor fridge has supported magnets for many years, and that sentimental combination of something old and something new is just the kind of detail that Nathan is able to spot with his photographer's eye). If you're ever looking for a photographer, for wedding or otherwise, look no further than Nathan O'Brien Photography. I was delighted when I was able to 'bagsy' him to be our wedding photographer, and even more so when I saw our photos. And if you've made it all the way to the end of my rambling review, please trust me when I say you will not find a better (or funnier) photographer!
