I have visited Namaste Village in Norwich several times now, and I must say; the food is incredible! The taste, the quality and the quantity is perfect! I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but each time I have visited, I have never felt that I have missed out by not having meat. What’s your signature dish?
Our menu is our expertise and each dish's recipe has been mastered and refined to bring the absolute best experience. The top recommended dish could be many depending on your taste and preference for flavours but if I had to name some signature ones they will be our dosas, paneer angara, tandoori chick'n, gobi manchurian and black house daal.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Positive communication and capturing the needs as well as the sentiments behind it is very important. We have worked with people of a very diverse taste profile and delivered an experience that exceeded expectations on each instance. We do work through a set of questions during the initial discussions that set the tone, taste & final satisfaction quotient of the experience.
What do you love most about your job?
Being an Indian and being able to bring our very food to the UK with its innate honesty and authenticity is a matter of great pride for me and I love it. I am a foodie myself and simply love seeing the satisfaction and joy of taste through our clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We are part of a wider Namaste Village family that's also located in Norwich, Cambridge, Islington & Twickenham. Being in Southend on Sea was a personal choice as it brought me close to a city that I have grown to love over the years!

Cookery Lessons
We offer bespoke cookery lessons for small groups of people (between 5-10) where we bring them an experience of working in the restaurant's kitchen and a very casual and fun-filled setup deliver the knowledge of simple Indian cooking. Yes, SIMPLE because Indian cooking being complex is a myth and we are here to bust that notion.
