Beautiful landscape quite a bit different from the rest of the surrounding countryside great for walking and exploring and very dog friendly though on-lead mostly I would think because there are quite a few new forest ponies roaming around and they can pop up anywhere! parking is relatively easy in the park itself and mainly free. Charming villages and towns. BUT! Going anywhere near the park on warm Bank Holidays and July/August it's extremely busy and you'll be in heavy traffic sometimes for a couple of hours is the only negative More...

去了国家公园里的动物园,大概要花两个小时可以把动物园逛完。森林公园很大,可以选择周末晴朗的天气来hiking。 Restrooms: 入口处有洗手间

Exceptionally beautiful, but muddy this time of year. Restrooms: In most of the main village car parks. Dog-friendliness: Keep on the lead in bird nesting season (ground nesting birds) and near livestock. Picnic area: Scattered throughout the Forest. More...

Beautiful. But be aware of the roaming large animals before you go. There is nothing wrong with it, in fact it is lovely to see horses freely wandering around. But if you weren't expecting it (I certainly wasn't), suddenly coming face to face with a curious horse can be quite a shock in the middle of your peaceful quiet walk. And, sometimes they are so curious that they follow you, and if you were already as shocked as I was, you may start thinķing that these horses will stalk you all the way home. And if you stop walking they will just eat you. They didn't of course, but it was just one of those days where it all seemed possible. So, a great place to spend time in, but maybe take someone with you who isn't easily startled. More...

Blackwater is perfect for younger kids as there is a path you can take a pushchair if needed. Route is only a mile long so from around 2 my son was happy to walk. There is an arboretum with trees from round the world, that encourages children to touch and smell. You also pass the tallest trees in the new forest which is always popular. Highly recommend. My latest visit was very busy one car park was totally full so the word may already be out 😉 Playground: Kids are happy playing with twigs and making dens with large sticks and branches. Restrooms: Available by the car park Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome. Picnic area: Ice creams and hot drinks available. (Quite expensive at £3.20 for one scoop in a cone) More...
