I am just setting my business up and have enrolled on an RHS level 2 course in Horticulture. Currently I manage our own garden and orchard and also maintain some properties owned by a landlord, in the last year I turned an expanse of gravel into a lovely green lawn which is still settling and requires some levelling.

What do you love most about your job?
Working outside, seeing plants grow from tiny seeds, learning new skills, along with solving problems. Being able to grow my own food, the taste of the first tomato out of your own greenhouse each season.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Hitting a point in my working life where i want to be in control of my time and use it creating beautiful spaces that others can enjoy.
Why should our clients choose you?
I try to offer a local friendly service, where something may be outside of my current skill set I have a network of friends who are also professional gardeners that i can ask advice.
General garden maintenance
I have a fair selection of equipment at my disposal to undertake most general garden tasks and will be adding to this as I go along. I have now added a small wood chipper to my equipment portfolio this should help with bulky waste which will now be able to be used as mulch.
Grave Care
I am looking into adding this service, this would include headstone cleaning, plot restoration reseeding/levelling and or cleansing of gravel substrate.
Lawn maintainance
Year round service this would include biannual scarification to remove moss and thatch. Spring and autumn feeding/weed control and regular mowning. The cost to client would be worked out on lawn area.
Herbicide spraying
We can now offer the services of a qualified herbicide spraying technician
