I am extremely pleased with the whole process of the kitchen installation by MLS Kitchens. Jon is very approachable, professional and committed to doing a thorough job. He visited my home to discuss ideas for the design, then followed this up a few days later by sending me the 3D images of the proposed kitchen. Jon also recommended the installer Joe and they both came to discuss the design and preparatory work, such as the electrics and plastering. Jon is very knowledgeable and helpful. He suggested appliances and was able to source these at a very good price. I was able to visit the MLS showroom where I chose the door handles, tap etc. Jon recommended Simplicity Granite for the quartz & advised me to visit them, which was very useful advice as I was able to get a good idea of what would work best for me. Joe & his son James did a fantastic job installing the kitchen & coordinating the associated trades. Amazing experience with these guys. From Jon coming out to measure and talk us through to Keith the fitter working until the job was complete. Couldn't fault any of them in anyway. Kitchen is great quality. Quartz from Simplicity Granite. Actually worked out cheaper than everywhere else. Keith the fitter also provided plasterer, electrician, plumber and flooring. We cannot rate MLS Kitchens highly enough. Mike was really helpful and supported us with design choices and colours. He also helped with product choice for the taps which was really valued when selecting a boiler tap. Steve the fitter was brilliant. He was friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he worked quickly and was very tidy. It was a pleasure to have him in our home. We now have a quality modern kitchen and we are grateful to Mike and his team for navigating some tricky design issues and troubleshooting and resolving issues that cropped up on the job without any hassle at all! I was recommend MLS and received excellent service right up until it was installed: Less than a year after installation I contacted them with a problem I had with my drawers and they are clearly not interested in sorting out the problem. They’ve now stopped replying to my messages. I have been nothing but polite and patient throughout and to be ignored like this is not nice. We saved for quite a long time for this kitchen and to receive such poor after-service and be left with a kitchen that is not 100% is upsetting. More...

They are reliable, with good personal service and didn't complain when I delayed their coming because of a broken boiler. The fitters quietly got on and boxed in the boiler and pipework. They are highly professional.

MLS kitchens came recommended through a friend and I wasn't disappointed. A designer came out to view my property and talked through what we wanted and put together a 3D design which we liked the look of. When the quote came through we are really surprised as were more competitive than others we had looked at so decided to proceed with MLS kitchens. On the day of the fitting the fitters were friendly and professional and all units were solid built (not a flat pack in sight). They went above an beyond to create the kitchen my wife and I had always wanted and we are more than pleased. Having obtained 3 quotes, we went for MLS based on the quality of the design by Phil (including some bespoke cabinets) and the competitive price - great decision. The old kitchen was removed by Mark and Lee, all electrical, plumbing and plastering work done, and the new kitchen, which arrived promptly on time, was then installed to an exceptional standard. Cannot stress how impressed I was with the service provided by MLS. Phil was very thorough in his design (2 hours on site) and took on board what I had requested and I received 3D drawings on various options the day after he visited. After a few amendments to the design and another visit to my house we agreed to proceed with MLS. Richard the installer then visited to survey a couple of weeks before installation again very helpful and switched on which made me feel at ease as I always have reservations about tradesmen but his personality and attention to detail left me feeling assured that I had made the correct decision. The delivery arrived at 7.00am as arranged with Phil and Richard completed the installation to an exceptional standard in just 2 days. I cannot stress to anyone reading this review how easy the process was compared to previous experiences. I have already recommended MLS to work colleagues and family as I have no hesitation that they will deliver what is expected. Excellent service and highly recommended ...We recently decided to do a complete revamp of our kitchen and after speaking with and having designs and quotes from several companies we decided to go with MLS kitchens, our decision was based on the design and interaction with their designer as well as the cost. David, the MLS designer was extremely professional and understanding of our needs and hopes as to the style and function of the kitchen we wanted. He made suggestions and backed them all up with reasons as to how and why the design could and would be more effective both in looks and function. The whole process took slightly longer than was planned for but this was due to problems with our floor. Richard the MLS fitter, advised us as to the floor problem and helped resolve the issue.David designed and project managed the whole process and has been available at anytime to answer questions from the first day we met until the kitchen was finished.A very professional job from the MLS team has created the fantastic kitchen we had hoped for at a price that made us very happy. Worst experience we ever had with a kitchen company. The fitters they employed were completely unskilled and I doubt that any of the gas/water/electrical work was done to code. They left us with broken sockets, which had exposed electric cables, and leaking valves. We asked MLS repeatedly for gas/electrical certificates, but they refused to give us any. The units and appliances that they sold us are very overprized. The appliances look like they've been sitting in a warehouse for years (we found rust damage on the allegedly "new" washing machine) and when we looked up the manufacturer, we found out that the manufacturer had gone bankrupt several years ago. MLS provided fitter who was clueless and despite concerns insisted we have him return again and again to complete tasks he was unskilled to do leaving my home unsafe. Early on he fixed cupboard lights in place with cardboard causing a fire hazard. Despite this MLS insisted we allow him back. During next visit he scratched my glass splashback which they said they would pay for but now say they will not. MLS was so poor it's impossible to note all issues, this is purely a snapshot 1) tiles fitted without removing old fixatent with a bit of sand. When I complained about this told by fitter he didn't really know how to tile. These tiles were removed by myself and completed by ourselves at our own expense. 2) The ceiling light was fitted so loose hanging off, the response of fitter "that is how it's supposed to be". The response of electrician who came to repair at our cost this is dangerous and ill fitted. 3) The worktops cut seemingly with a blunt saw and therefore chipped edges as if in for years. The response of fitter and company was to insist fitter returned to "put right". Fitter attended and covered chips in tan paint. Response of company "don't be critical of fitter I think you are a horrible person" and refused to provide replacement worktops. 4) the wall sockets were over crowded by electrics for cupboard lights and left hanging off. Response of fitter "I've done my best". Response of company "don't upset feelings of fitter". The response of our electrician we paid to amend issue "this is a fire hazard". 5) one of fitters turned up very drunk and ran over neighbours property drink driving causing hundreds of pounds of damage. Lead fitters response he's not drunk he has a brain injury. The police were called and breathlised him, he was very drunk at 1pm. Company response "I don't know about it", a week later told "stop going on about it", now "he's dead don't mention him". Incidentally during the course of knowing this company since December 2016 to April 2017 I have been told of 2 deaths and 4 emergency hospital visits. 6) sink tap wobbles. I was told by fitter it's supposed to wobble. Currently awaiting a truely qualified fitter to come amend at our cost. 7) The edges on all side panels, infill and windowsill so wonky. The company and fitter response it will be filled with sealant. Insistence by company I allow fitter to return to put right. He arrived with only cream filler and insisted it would dry a white. He then admitted he only had a bit of white and filled a foot gap leaving all others smeared with cream sealant. Excluding areas he chose to wipe and scrap causing damage to newly painted walls 8) numerous holes were made into newly plastered walls to supposedly fit cupboard lights. Some of these holes were filled with putty and some left. On return to put this right he filled more holes with putty but placed filler on top leaving a huge mess. 9) the upstands were cut short and the edging is impossible to describe beyond bizarre. These were held in place by numerous screws over the top on a diagonal into new plaster. The response of company (gave up with fitter at this point) "the fitter is trying to make it nice and what's your problem it's not big things" 10) the doors put wonky and fridge unit collapsed. The response of company and fitter "oh that's strange". Due to concerns about further damage we got this repaired ourselves at our owns expense. This is just a snap shot of some of issues with the fit. What we have been left with is a poorly fitted kitchen, damage to our home and refusal of the company to give us items that were damage by the fitter they insisted we repeatedly allowed into our home despite grave concerns. Kitchen initially seemed good value. However considering the cost of funding replacement of worktops, upstands (company agreed to provide one when three needed) splashback, side panels, kickplates, re-plaster, electrician cost, tiling cost, decorator, gas safety and a qualified fitter to repair I feel MLS is actually very costly. We came to MLS looking to design a kitchen for our new home as it had no kitchen in it, the sale for the house had not gone through but they were still more than happy to take us on as customers and design our kitchen at very short notice knowing that the sale may fall through which was really good of them, we had to delay things a few times because the sale of our house took much longer than expected but mike was still more than happy to wait until everything was finalised. We had our kitchen fitted a few days ago and we are beyond happy with it, everything is exactly the way it should be and better, the quality of the brands used by MLS are all top notch and everything was so well priced.
