Greg is an outstanding therapist. He brings integrity, empathy, expert perspective, attentive listening, sensitivity and compassion to each session. His insightful approach nurtures a healing space that is both supportive and empowering and always engaging. Open, honest and empathetic, Greg’s insightful questioning and compassion has made the difference between staying stuck and moving forward in many aspects of my life. I am more able to manage my feelings and have developed a kinder inner dialogue, which improves the quality of the relationships I have with others but perhaps most importantly, with myself.

I am happier, more resilient and better equipped to manage my feelings as they arise since I started working with Greg. I consider his support to be an integral part of my health and well-being routine.

I met Greg in Kingslangley GP as life coach/counselling, then as Greg went freelancing I carried on with sessions because he was very good with me and we came a long way in our sessions for me to improve my mental health and dig deep into past traumas and explore painfull stuff. It wasn't easy, but Greg made it smooth.
Greg is a good listener and there is no judgement of course. I definitely recommend Greg to anyone who is new to counselling or aleeady on route to healing. You will get the results you want. Beingbl open and transparent with him really goes a long way. Thanks Greg

My GP wasn’t sufficiently supporting my mental health needs and other routes weren’t cutting it either. However once signing up to Megalithic Coaching, Greg has been incredibly valuable and incisive in sessions in terms of pinning down reasons for anxious or uncomfortable feelings and then helping me to find ways of managing these more than effectively.

Greg is also very easy to speak to with a passion for his field and has recommended books to support sessions as well as efficiently sending over notes from sessions so I can review in my own time. There’s always a clear focus for each session and recently he helped me to manage my anxiety about my upcoming wedding to ensure I remained in the moment!

I would wholeheartedly recommend Greg’s services to anyone who is ready to tackle anxiety, stress, depression at its core. Even if you’re just keen to see any blind spots you may have, Greg is a great help - don’t hesitate to reach out to him!

I had about 12 sessions with Megalithic Coaching and found it incredibly beneficial and positive. I have suffered from anxiety from a while now, and Greg helped me see it wasn't something that was wrong with me, but just a normal response to my environment. I was making myself wrong for so long about the way I feel but now am able to accept my feeling more as they come up. I still get anxious at times, but i'm no longer resisting and battling it. I was able to completely re-frame how i thought about myself and my emotions and it has made things so much easier, Thanks Greg More...

I was seeing Greg for about 6 months, in which he really helped me get from a place of low mood and negative self-talk to a place of compassion and kindness for myself. He helped me understand my Adhd and how it's not in any way a flaw. This has helped me move on from being stuck in a viscious negative cycle. Thank you Greg for helping me on my journey, I would recommend your services to all. More...

Thanks Greg for giving me the tools to process early experiences in my childhood and achieve a sense of freedom. You have really helped me learn to be compassionate with myself which has catalysed healing and growth. I found you to be incredibly kind and insightful without ever feeling like you were judging me. This wasn't an easy process for me, but it was invaluable. A genuine, heartfelt thankyou. More...

I have a lifelong disability which over time will affect my ability to walk and I've battled with embarrassment and denial for a long time. I have been meeting with Greg for nearly 7 months. I didn't realise how bad I was feeling, I had a real attack on my self-confidence, how I felt about myself, how I saw myself and a real fear about what other people thought of me. I would isolate myself from situations, never felt good enough, and really hated my body.

I've always thought of myself as a positive person, however, After just one session I finally found someone who seemed to understand me had a genuine sense if wanting to help and It was like nothing I experienced before. Yes, I'm positive but I didn't like myself and an instant weight was lifted. I've paid for therapists over the years who have helped me to an extent, but Greg is extremely positive, thinks the same as me and automatically put me at ease. I was able to open up my feelings and emotions on a whole new level.

I have tried and enjoyed meditation, and holistic therapies previously, and our sessions have been mind opening, and has made me view myself in a completely different light. Of course, there's still moments when I doubt myself and start to worry about small things but using techniques, I've learned combined with our sessions I feel I now look at my life differently with less stress, less self-doubt, and more confidence to be me, and I'm not all that bad!

I highly recommend to anyone who's maybe lost, feels inadequate, having issues with body confidence, or just stressed and needs someone to talk to. Everybody needs Greg in their lives!

Greg has been a massive help in my mental health journey from general health and well-being advice to helping me through childhood trauma. Right from our first session he has made me feel completely relaxed and able to open up. Greg makes me feel heard and understood, he really listens and cares. Through his compassion and reflective and thought provoking advice he has helped me come to realisations that have allowed me to change my mindset for the better. He listens without judgement and speaks in a way that makes you feel like you are with a friend. More...

Having been seeing Greg for a while now, he has been instrumental in allowing me to process traumatic events in my life and manage to cope with them better than I was previously. Being an Autistic person, I obsess over things that sometimes aren't healthy to keep obsessing over. Greg has helped me to manage some of these obsessions and behaviours, and put them to one side until I am able to deal with the issue at hand without it causing me further harm, and to deal with the resultant panic.

I have found Greg to be one of the most empathic, insightful and knowledgeable individuals within his field I have had the fortune to have come into contact with. I can not thank him enough for his time, patience and humanity

Greg was able to really help me get to the route of my addictive tendencies and understand what it was doing for me in the moment. He beautifully held space for my emotions that came up in session in a way where I felt completely at ease with no judgement whatsoever. He helped me realize I am not broken. I would thoroughly recommend his services to anyone seeking to break harmful thought patterns or who is struggling. More...

Q&As

I love being able to connect with people, and share moments of vulnerability. It's truly rewarding seeing a client let go of a limiting belief or thought pattern and give themselves space to feel emotions that they had previously been battling with. It is an honour when someone chooses to open up about past events or feelings that they have struggled to talk about or kept to themselves and to be able to be a part of their healing journey. Every client I work with is a mirror to myself, allowing me to learn and grow with each interaction which inevitably adds to the richness and depth of my own experience.

I was working full time as a Health and Well-being coach in primary care for the NHS seeing up to 12 people a day for half hour appointments. This led to me being burnt out, experiencing back/neck pain and headaches and getting stressed. Lack of time and pressure to get the next patient through the door also led to me at times showing up poorly for those people. I would not be able to give 100% presence at times which wasn't fair to them or myself.

I hence decided that managing my own caseload was better for my own physical and mental health. Having my own independent practice allows me more flexibility with time, and also how I work with clients. It allows me to worry less about quantitative, measurable outcomes and more about the experience of the client, providing them with the full time and attention that they deserve. It further gives me time to look after and check in with myself to ensure I can give 100%, without taking anything away from me and depleting my energy.

I bring compassion, non-judgement and 100% presence to our interactions. I do not try to fix or help, rather provide you with the tools to do this yourself. I know the client has the answer within, so I do not follow an agenda or advise in any way. I hold space and witness the client however they are in the moment, offering questions that gently guide them to their truth. I create safety and am attuned and present to the client to ensure a safe space is created in which they feel comfortable to share.

I like you am on my own journey with healing and self-enquiry. Every day is an opportunity to grow and delve deeper, and this work with others has been incredibly useful on this journey. To me one of the most important qualities of a therapist is to be self-aware, to ensure they do not affect their clients with their own biases, beliefs or agenda. All therapists are in some way wounded themselves (there is a reason we go into this industry), and it is important that they are aware of how this can show up professionally. I do not pretend to have the answers and will be honest with you when I am unsure or unclear of something. Honesty and transparency is of utmost importance in our relationship to ensure we are both aligned. If a client feels in any way unhappy with the service they have received, I am happy to provide a refund.

My prices are based on a sliding scale to ensure affordability for everyone. (This can be found on my website). Therapy shouldn't be a luxury afforded to the wealthy, but something available to all.

I can provide services face to face if local, however the majority of the work I do is via Zoom.

Services

My unique approach of CI informed counselling/coaching partly involves looking at ourselves objectively and assessing practical areas of our lives where we can take action to improve our overall health and well-being. This may involve addressing unhealthy behaviours/addictions, diet, exercise, sleep hygiene etc and getting into healthier patterns of behaviour that will lead to better physical and mental health outcomes.

Paired with this practical understanding, the majority of the work essentially involves getting to know ourselves better. This requires us to get curious about and acknowledge our triggers, understanding why we are reacting to certain situations. It promotes taking authorship of our stories rather than getting caught in the narrative, understanding where we may have formed our core beliefs and perceptions early on in our lives. We can then develop compassion for and connect with the younger self, allowing us to see things from the child's perspective. This cognitive understanding is further deepened by connecting with and making space for the implicit emotions/feelings that come up in our bodies, experiencing them in the present moment in a safe, non-judgemental space. This allows us to be with what is there when triggered, remembering what it brings up in us from the past, learning to respond consciously rather than unconsciously reacting. This approach is hence both cognitive and somatic, helping to foster a stronger connection between mind and body and between the unconscious and conscious mind.

In summary, the process is about developing kindness and compassion for the self and others, rediscovering the truth of who we are and living with balance and authenticity. This inevitably leads to improvement in health and well-being as we make healthier choices, escaping negative cycles we have previously been stuck in.

My responsibility to you as a professional is to be an empathetic, present witness for every minute we are together. I bring 100% confidentiality, honesty and transparency and complete faith in you to achieve your goals. It is not my responsibility to fix you or give you advice, but to accept you as you are and trust that you have the answers already. It is a client-led process that asks questions rather than giving an opinion or diagnosis.
