I observed Jeremy co-mediate a civil law dispute at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, for a matter that had been listed for trial.
The participants had agreed to mediate to see if a solution could be achieved without a trial.
Jeremy patiently explained the mediation process to the participants. Throughout the mediation he continually worked effectively with his co-mediator. In particular, he demonstrated well-timed summarizing skills and the ability to unpack the issues. I felt the participants were at all times in a safe pair of hands.

What do you love most about your job?
I have worked for 30 years with congregations, schools, charities, faith bodies, interfaith bodies and government departments. I have been a classroom teacher, board member and honorary school principal.
I have met some remarkable leaders, medical ethicists, philosophers and diplomats. I have known Holocaust survivors, war veterans and political prisoners. I have met people who built lives from poverty and I have encountered people whose lives, whose health, whose finances and whose security have collapsed.
People and their stories inspire me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I set up MediationWorks to bring the experience I gained as a faith leader and pastor to help people navigate their ways through conflicts that can wear us all down.
The creativity of conversation has often helped me find fresh insights - and has often helped navigate unexpected solutions to seemingly intractable problems. It is through these creative conversations that I have become convinced how well Mediation works.

I am a qualified and fully insured Mediator, a Member of the Society of Mediators and the Civil Mediation Council, certified in Civil & Commercial, Workplace & Employment and on the register for SEND mediations.
I volunteer in various Free and Community Mediation initiatives.
Through my work in Faith and Interfaith leadership, I have a background in the sensitive handling of faith-related disputes, where participants need a mediator, who understands the complexities of religious law and communities.
