Thanks to Mark I have new bravery and clarity. He has given me a much deeper understanding of my feelings. He has helped me to take the exhausting “should” out of every thought and replace it with a much gentler “could” . He has taught me to be kinder to myself and to consider what I really need when I feel at odds with the world. Mark has empowered me to take practical steps and to put boundaries in place in my family relationships and at work. After 2 months of working with Mark, I am so much stronger, more confident and more peaceful. More...

Therapist

I felt instantly comfortable with mark, he really put me at ease. He made me feel listened to and he helped me arrange my thought process to better understand myself and my feelings. Although I feel much better after using his services and don't feel like I need therapy anymore I miss our sessions! He's a really friendly chap. Hope you're well mark! And thankyou. More...

Q&As

The joy comes when a client realises that they have the power to choose happiness over sadness, courage over fear, and self-compassion over shame.

Noticing I had the skills to help others achieve their goals.

They 'shouldn't' do anything. Should/shouldn't, right/wrong, good/bad are all binary ways of thinking. Simply by replacing the should with could becomes both powerful and empowering. You could choose me and I'd be delighted to serve you, but you are certainly under no obligation to do so.

Yes I can. My preferred platform is via Zoom. I believe this allows you the convenience and security of physically being where you need to be, without the expense and time needed for travel to and from a session. It also allows me to be in the environment I reserve for my practice.

If you would prefer to talk in person then let’s explore how we can best facilitate that.

Not applicable as most sessions are remote. If a face to face session is preferred then we can work out together the safest, most convenient way to support this.

Services

Do you imagine a time where anger is no longer diminishing all areas of your life? One where healthy self-esteem replaces negative core-beliefs and happiness becomes a natural, everyday feeling?

Would you prefer to be the driving force in your life rather than a consequence of what happens to you? Maybe all you really need is to be heard, appreciated and loved for who you are?

In truth, very few of us actually want coaching – we simply desire the results that coaching brings. Yet coaching is a tried and trusted method that can empower you to transition from an unwanted situation to a better, more desirable way of being.

My purpose is to walk alongside you, guiding you towards the future you can only imagine right now.

Your anger is welcome here.

What is the Solution-focused coaching approach?
As with all coaching, Solution-focused (SF) promotes personal development and growth.

I place emphasis on helping you to define a desired future or goal and to structure a pathway – in both thinking and action – that helps you to accomplish it.

SF is a proven approach to positive change within people, relationships and organisations. The approach creates awareness of your goals, explores your current skills, strengths, resources and coping mechanisms and motivates you to realise your best hopes.

Solution-focused coaching is effective for individuals on a personal level and for teams and executives on a business level.

Emotional agility coaching is a process that helps individuals navigate their thoughts and emotions in a mindful, values-driven, and productive way. The concept of emotional agility was popularized by psychologist Susan David. Here are some key aspects of emotional agility coaching:

1. Understanding Feelings: Know the difference between a feeling and an emotion and how to sit in the discomfort to avoid reacting.

2. Recognizing Patterns: Identifying recurring thoughts and emotional patterns that might be holding you back.

3. Labelling Emotions: Learning to label your thoughts and emotions accurately, which helps in seeing them as transient and manageable.

4. Acceptance: Embracing your thoughts and emotions without trying to suppress or overly control them.

5. Value driven actions: Making decisions and taking actions that align with your core values and long-term goals.

Emotional Agility Coaching can be particularly beneficial in improving emotional wellbeing, increasing resilience and reducing stress and avoiding burnout.

The art of conflict resolution involves addressing and resolving disagreements or disputes in a way that maintains positive relationships and fosters collaboration. Here are some key elements:

1. Understanding the Conflict: Identifying the root cause of the situation and the perspectives of everyone concerned.
2. Releasing the attachment to be Right: It’s okay to have a different opinion and respectfully agree to disagree.
3. Effective Communication: Encouraging open and honest dialogue where everyone feels heard.
4. Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Recognising and validating others to de-escalate tensions.
5. Problem Solving: Collaborating to find mutually acceptable/beneficial solutions that address all needs.

Mastering conflict resolution skills can transform conflicts into opportunities for growth for personal and professional relationships.
