I have a passion for tutoring. Having spent many years volunteering with local primary schools and tutoring my own children I set up to provide high-school maths tutoring as a part time business. I have been successfully tutoring Maths for 5 years with a great number of my pupils achieving As and Bs for their Higher and Nat5 Exams.

What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy the variety of tutoring and being able to really make a difference to every pupils journey and to see them achieve good results. I treat every pupil as an individual and they really do get a tailored lesson from me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had great success tutoring my own children and nephews to achieve A’s in their high-school maths exams that I wanted to do this more formally as a part-time business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a sole trader, not part of a bigger organisation, I run lessons at the students pace and really out their needs at the heart of every session. I keep lessons relaxed and informal and try to make them as fun as possible while we work. I assign homework every week and make sure that the homework is focussed on what we have covered off at our sessions. I take time to get to know each pupil as an individual and there is no other job I would rather be doing than helping the next generation gain a love for and understanding of maths.
