About

Anxiety? Friendship issues? Poor emotional regulation? Play Therapy uses a creative toolkit of toys, art, sand and music to support children. We explore our feelings through the toys, which is especially helpful for children who struggle to open up or connect with their emotions.

Q&As

I will be offering lower rates than other private therapists in the area due to being newly qualified.
I have experience working with children from nursery age to sixth form.
I have CAMHS experience.

We need to be able to use the toolkit in person, to ensure the child's process is not disrupted, and they can get fully immersed in it. If there is a gap in sessions for whatever reason, we may be able to see each online to keep in touch.
I am perfectly happy to have parent interviews and reviews over the phone, online or in person.

I ensure the toys are clean between each client.
I always let parents know if I am or have been unwell

Services

We will use art and play in sessions for when it is hard to put thoughts and feelings into words. We can then reflect on the artwork or play together, and come to understand what was being expressed and what is happening for the child.

***How to get started? ***
Please contact me via email and I will send a Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire for yourself and your child's school to fill out. This will help determine if Play Therapy is the right intervention for your child at this time.
If so, we will have arrange an interview where we will talk about your child's background and what's been going on for them and yourself.
