Hello! I'm Lydia. After spending a year as a full-time teacher in the education system, I have made the decision to seek a better work-life balance with tutoring. I believe this balance actually makes me a better, more stable and well-rounded educator.

My son has progressed enormously with Lydia, both from Maths and English GCSE tutoring. Lydia is very patient and explains in ways he finds great to understand and really looks forward to his sessions. His GCSE predicted grades have gone up by 2 levels since he’s started the tutoring. Highly recommend. More...

My son has tried a number of tutors and Lydia is by far his favourite. She treats him with the right amount of maturity and pictches the academic work at the right level. We both like her very much.

What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing students become enthused with learning as they grow in confidence and understanding of themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a great believer in catering to the needs of the individual and fostering creativity. I find the national curriculum - and the approach of schools - a little stifling, and prefer to be in charge of my approach and resources for each individual child.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will communicate your child's progress effectively and regularly, and work with you to understand what your child needs in order to succeed.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Both. I am willing to drive to students' houses localls (my postcode TQ12 3EE) and I will discuss this option with clients beforehand. If the student lives a little too far out of my catchment, I am more than happy to conduct sessions online using Microsoft Teams.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I started this business following the major outbreaks, but will still be happy to use a mask and hand sanitiser if that makes the students/parents/carers more comfortable. Alternatively, I am happy to work remotely through Microsoft Teams.
