I tried numerous traditional diets and a self help book. They did help me a bit, but none of them addressed the root cause, so I still went back to bingeing.

I was worried about being judged for my bingeing. I found it very hard to talk to anyone about it as it was so ingrained in me that it was just me having no self-control. I was also worried that I would find it hard to open up and speak as I am so used to keeping my feelings inside and not being a bother to anyone!

Lisa is such a kind and empathetic person. She made me feel at ease straight away. I needn’t have worried about being able to open up with her as she is so good at gently probing which really helped me to talk about things that I would have previously struggled to put into words.

My journey towards body acceptance was my biggest transformation - Changing my viewpoint from ‘I have to lose weight’ to ‘this is my body now and I don’t need to change it to be worthy of love.’ I am more confident in wearing clothes I would never have worn before, most notably a bikini!

I still have work to do, but I feel more confident and equipped to keep working at overcoming my eating disorder. I am more confident in my skin and better at questioning myself when I feel myself slipping back into diet culture.

In the past I have tried multiple slimming clubs, various diets, self help books and journals that just saw my weight fluctuate massively. I spoke to nutritionists and counsellors and had completed a group course with others battling eating disorders. But still I struggled to overcome my difficulties.

I was nervous to work with Lisa - I didn’t talk about my struggles with eating to those close to me. I was worried about being vulnerable and I felt ashamed and embarrassed about my (in my view) extreme behaviours. I was so scared that this would be something else that wouldn’t work.

Working with Lisa has involved everything from small, pain-free practical adjustments, to gritty changes that challenged long-established beliefs. My views have totally shifted and my body and mind are thanking me for it.


I have completely changed my perception about what my body needs, when and why. After more than 15 years of bingeing and purging, significantly limiting these behaviours has had an undeniable positive impact on my health. I’m kinder to myself and I haven’t had to step on any scales.

While working with Lisa, you address both the nutritional aspects and emotional/psychological aspects of your battles. Lisa’s approach is completely non-judgmental and she can relate to your struggles.

I wanted to understand why I was emotionally eating and to find ways to change my behaviour. Lisa has been wonderful at making me feel “normal”. Quite often I would feel like it was all my fault and I realise now, that it was many factors that contributed to the way I viewed food.

Lisa has your back. She is completely non judgemental and understanding. It’s hard to do this work on your own, and Lisa has the skills, expertise and human understanding to help you.

Lisa has been incredible. She has completely changed my way of eating, which means that: I'm not as hungry; I eat slower and enjoy my food more; I am eating less; I am sleeping better and have more energy; I have lost weight without trying; and believe I can continue to apply these principles ongoing. 6 months ago I contacted Lisa about needing guidance on how to lose weight successfully. Very quickly it actually became more about readdressing health concerns and long term goals. Yes, losing pounds was important, but insuring a healthy old age was priority.
Lisa revised my language surrounding food. No food was banned, not allowed or forbidden. Over the weeks, my mindset changed. Yes, I could have anything within reason without the normal guilt trips associated with “going off plan “ Her mantra became ingrained “ eat 3 nutritious meals a day”. Snacks are of course allowed, but just be mindful.
One of my faults before meeting Lisa was eating far too quickly. I’ve learnt to slow down and actually register and enjoy what I’m eating. I no longer finish first!!
I felt I have learnt life long tools to enjoy a healthy and slimmer future.

I've always struggle with my eating habits I tried lots of different diets without much success.
It wasn't until I started to work with Lisa that I realised it was more about my mind set and looking after myself. With every session the techniques Lisa gave him helped build a bigger picture for me to understand my relationship with food and trauma.
I found Lisa's attention to detail and empathy, warmth so reassuring. I liked the small target setting each week, this made it more manageable.
I couldn't recommend Lisa enough, it's not a quick fix solution. What it is, is a life changing solution.

It is really important to eat nutritiously 95% of the time for the benefit of your health and wellbeing. Our body and brain use nutrients so that they can function to their best ability. I support my clients to eat well, while still enjoying all their favourite non-nutritious foods.

I love seeing my clients put into place small easy changes that bring enormous results.

I was the girl who was overweight, who had invested time and money in every diet going and who had failed at dieting. It caused me so much unhappiness, shame and guilt. My mission is to stop anyone feeling the way that I did, by teaching them how to eat and changing their behaviour around food, the same way that I did.

I understand how people feel as I have been there myself. I am able to give them the skills that they need to change how they eat in a sustainable way, with compassion and kindness. They will be treated as an individual with their own personal needs met to achieve the results that they want.

Services

I offer 1 month, 3 month or 6 month programmes, depending on your personal needs. We begin with an in-depth 90-120 minute appointment where I get to know everything about you. This includes any health concerns you may have and your weight struggle story. We will continue to see each other weekly for 30-45 minutes. This is where, step by step, we work on what is getting in the way of your weight loss.
