This does not even deserve 1 star.
Absolutely appalling removal service from Wokingham to Chippenham. They did not adhere to the contract, and ripped us off.
We are moving in the near future and will never use them again. So they have lost out on more business had they done an honest and good job in the first place..
We were supposed to have 2 removal people with my husband assisting for £1,200 on the Sunday and then 2 persons on the Monday. Both days Alex turned up on his own - late and loaded the 7,5 tonne truck with my husband assisting. Alex made an excuse on both days that staff were off sick on the day he turned up and he could deploy an extra person from another location at an extra cost! We declined as we had to get on with it as we were completing our sale on the Monday. He knew that and did this to us.
We then had to get him lunch and he continued working until 5pm and had not finished the job saying he needed to bring another van the next day. He then proceeded to ask us for a lift to Reading because he wanted to leave the loaded van on our drive and come back the next day supposedly with another van and the second person. We declined to give him a lift.
He turned up late on the Monday on his own but with another van. I was unsure why he had done that. Again my husband had to assist. Alex claimed there was extra items in the garage despite telling him and him seeing there was. He claimed it would take him longer and insisted on being paid more. Yet he did not bring the second person as agreed. We just wanted him out.
The van was too small and he then asked my husband if he would drive the second van! I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. Why would my husband want to do that and how would he be insured. My husband had to then leave his bikes at the station and squeeze what he could at the front of the main van. Alex had to leave the second van in Wokingham as he had not bought anyone to drive it.
When we reached Chippenham, again my husband had to assist by which time he was exhausted. I have a disability and cannot lift anything. However, we had not paid this company to assist.
We expected him to dismantle and assemble two items. He decided to flag that this was not in the contract despite dismantling the items at Wokingham.
He overheard me saying to my my husband this was the worst move experience and tried to challenge me.
A removal company are supposed to take out the stress and this person did the exact opposite and caused immense stress.
Do not believe the website reviews or pictures. Our experience was far from consistent with these and we ended up having to pay the extra cost to get rid of him.

Hello to everyone that has read the above review. This was a simple case of us bending over backwards as a small family business to help a customer based on their financial circumstances about 2 years ago. We always strive to work with our customers exact requirements and budget for over 20 years in business. On this occasion, it was quite a large job. The job required one 7.5 ton truck, one Luton van and four men minimum. We tried to work with the customers budget by providing only one truck and two men, although it was a very risky thing to do on such a large job, even if they agreed to help load and unload the vehicle to cut the cost. Unfortunately, the above agreement was still beyond their budget so we agreed that we will still provide two men, and they do not have to pay for the other. Unfortunately that morning the young man was ill and could not make it and could not find any other to help at such a short notice. So we were left with only one man loading the 7.5 ton truck and the family was suppose to assist were nowhere to be seen. To make matters worse, they requested additional work to be done that was not in the contract lengthening the removal process. We then explained, there will be additional charge if there are any additional work, they refused to except because we provided only one man. We then explained that it is unfair to add to the task that was not in the contract, task they said their family will assist with to reduce cost. It is unfair to try to take advantage of us because we are a small family business. We try to assist the best way we could in such unfortunate circumstances. We sincerely apologise things did not go exactly as planned, but it is unfair to take advantage of our small family business. We are certain a larger firm would refused straight away and not try to work with your budget. We understand how difficult it can be mentally financially and emotionally as a small family business, so we will continue to assist everyone in whatever way we can even if it is risky at times trying to avoid what happened to us in this occasion. What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business for a few reasons, I spent 10 years in the US Navy and French military taking orders so I wanted to start giving orders for ones LOL. Nah!! Well I learnt a lot and how to be a leader, I also have a lot of knowledge and skills in how to help others in the security industry as well. I started a close protection firm for many years but I also wanted to have a different business that is not boring, different experience and customers every day, different location, completely different atmosphere on any given day and also a line of work that kip you physically strong, so I started this Removal Service in 2000.
