I tried several dog trainers before I came across Keith's Canine Service. Without a doubt Keith is the best and most experienced trainer to help me with my reactive German Shepherd. I started off with 1-2-1 sessions and have now moved onto group obedience classes. Keith & Lorraine look after our dog Boston and he has a whale of a time. I was nervous the first time we dropped him off as he was a little pup but I needn’t have worried he had an absolute blast and went in so happily the next time he went while we were away! Keith and Lorraine have been brilliant in helping us with both of our dogs. We have attended puppy classes and follow on training classes and the dogs have really benefitted from them. Our rescue dog was trained by Keith and has gone from being petrified to thriving and becoming so much more confident. Our dogs go to Keith’s every week for a fun day out and get so excited about going. We also use Keith’s boarding services when we go on holiday and our dogs love staying with Keith and Lorraine. Keith and Lorraine are absolutely brilliant. We took our toy poodle puppies for puppy class. It was fun, informative and great. We learnt some amazing things and our puppy come on leaps and bounds. Keith and Lorraine are amazing!!

Our puppy, Dolly, has been staying with Keith, Lorraine and their lovely dog Hudson one day a week since she was 12 weeks old. They take such good care of Dolly and treat her like a member of their own family. Her tail goes at 1,000 wags per second every time she sees them - she’s completely besotted!

Keith and Lorraine send lots of lovely pupdate pics throughout the day so I know Dolly is having a great time. She always comes home happy, content, well behaved and has a great night’s sleep after all the fun.

Keith and Lorraine are clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in looking after and training dogs. I never have to worry as I know Dolly is in very safe and caring hands.

Dolly and I have also greatly benefitted from attending the Pupstars course. We learnt so much from Keith and Lorraine’s teaching and guidance. They’re so great with all the dogs and puppy parents and we really enjoyed every class.

Attending Keith’s Saturday socials, has done wonders for Dolly’s social skills and confidence and is a great way to meet other dogs in a safe and friendly environment.

Not only are Keith and Lorraine wonderful with and so well-loved by all the dogs they care for, they’re also really lovely people. Their kindness, patience and great sense of humour makes training classes and social events not only really valuable experiences, but a lots of fun too!

If Dolly could type, then there wouldn’t be enough space or enough stars available on here to do credit to how highly she would rate Keith and Lorraine.

I have worked with dog trainers in the past and have not always had the best experience- so I was really happy to find Keith friendly and attentive to my dog’s specific needs. He made me feel completely at ease and not at all patronised as he took me through the various exercises leading towards the time when I was able to long lead walk my jack Russell cross. Such an improvement- as I was unable to walk him at all before due to his pulling and impetuous chasing instinct aggravating a shoulder injury.

Keith has helped us learn and teach our Yorkshire Terrier to be more confident & less afraid of big dogs, to watch this tiny dog interact and be happy to see dogs so much bigger than him, to see him happy is so worth the time we put in to watch our sweet little soul socializing. This is all thanks to Keith.

Our beautiful rescue girl, Belka, came to us having been a street dog from half way across the world. She is a very human-focused girl and was immediately sociable (and still is) with literally every human being she ever met (she will literally fall at your feet) but a little unpredictable, reactive and snappy with dogs she passed on walks. Fine with dogs she had been 'introduced' to but not good with passing ones. And absolutely out of control every time a motorbike whizzed past. I very much wanted to improve her behaviour on walks and engaged the help of Keith. After around 5 or 6 1:1s, I really felt I had lots of coping and control mechanisms under our belt, such as advice about leads, training treats, watching for triggers and the 3 Ds of training. Belka also benefitted hugely (and still does) from Keith's social sessions, whenever we're able to get along. We have no behaviour issues with Belka at all during these sessions and she loves to see her doggy friends. Overall, she is still reactive at times and is a work-in-progress but I feel much more able to cope with issues when they arise now. More...

Keith looked after Doug whilst we had a week's holiday and Doug loved it so much that he tries to get into Keith's house when we walk past. Have since enrolled Doug on puppy training, Keith is very patient with him, despite Doug's reluctance to sit still! Would definitely recommend. More...

We started with Keith for puppy training of our young cocker spaniel - Bruno - when we first got him in September 2021. At the end of the course, he received a merit by the independent assessor , testament to Keith’s measured approach and professional tuition with our little bundle of energy. Since then we have near weekly ‘fungility’ sessions which are a lot of fun for the dogs and owners alike. We regularly use Keiths doggy day care rather than leaving Bruno at home alone for extended periods - he loves these visits and always comes back to us tired but happy, as he gets to spend so much time playing and running around with Hudson and other day care dogs.
I can’t speak highly enough of Keith’s training methods, he always has the dogs best interest at heart and always gives a relaxed but professional service. Keith is a really nice guy - your dog will love him as much as he does them More...

Keith is brilliant. Took our puppy cocapoo to his puppy classes and he taught us so much. He cares about all the dogs from the bottom of his heart. He is so patient with us owners and the dogs. Our puppy attended Keith’s puppy class and he absolutely loved it. He enjoyed the social side of meeting other puppies and learnt so much in the classes. We first joined his puppy class in late 2021/early 2022. His classes were 1st rate and our little spaniel ‘Bruno’ made good progress despite being the most excitable in the group. I met Keith after I bought our lovely cocker spaniel Torvi when we were looking for a dog trainer. After an initial telephone conversation and completing a few forms we booked a block of lessons which were very reasonably priced.
The lesson’s were very enjoyable for both me and Torvi, she seemed to pick up tohe rights from wrongs under the careful guidance of Keith and his team.

I would fully recommend Keith’s canine service. We have a rescue dog called Remy, she is very large and barks at dogs and people. Since having one to one lessons with Keith, Remy has become less anxious, can socialise with dogs and barks far less, he is amazing with her and me as I was anxious to walk her.
