It was heartfelt, emotional and full of love - just as we wanted! We had a wonderful experience with Kay. She was excellent from the first time we met her and it was clear that she just wanted us to have a great day and that she really really cared about being part of making it personal, enjoyable and beautiful. Not only did we have 2 meetings about the ceremony itself, but Kay also came to the venue with us in advance and gave us advice on the organisation from her experience at the same venue before. When we got home from the day we found that Kay had left some beautiful gifts in our gifts box which were completely unexpected but hugely appreciated. Where to start, Kay is such a wonderful, patient and supportive celebrant! Me and my partner are quite shy and were incredibly nervous for our ceremony, but Kay made us feel so calm and relaxed on the day. We recently had the delight of having Kay as our Wedding Celebrant. The ceremony went so well, it was so relaxed and you made Josh and I at ease.
It reflected us as a couple and mirrored all of our hopes of telling a story with funny twists and turns but with the traditional element still there!
We received so many compliments from friends and family for your ceremony speech. Everybody said how the ceremony complimented the both of us. We smiled , laughed and most of all just felt so happy!

Kay is an incredible Celebrant.
Kay met with us as a family and spoke with us about Mum enabling us to remember all the happy times we spent together as well as recognising the part of Mum we had lost due to her dementia.
We laughed at some of Mums antics and shared the love that she had for everyone. Kay then wrote an amazing Eulogy which captured mum perfectly. Together with Lisa from Hengrove Coop funeral care she guided us through the ceremony allowing us to make it as personal for mum as we could. Kay sent us many poems which we perused to choose ones which perfectly described Mum and our memories of her. Family who were unable to travel to the funeral felt included as Kay addressed them during the service which was streamed to them.
I cannot recommend Kay highly enough. She was amazing, supported us and hugged us when we needed it. Her care and compassion together with her understanding and sense of humour is second to none.
Thank you Kay for making a sad day bearable and allowing us to express the love and fun my Mum enjoyed in such a caring way. She had a life well lived and you conveyed that beautifully. Ruth Xx

What do you love most about your job?
Helping couples to create the ceremony that is just right for them - telling their story and weaving it into a beautifully memorable part of their day that is about love, commitment and people.
Informal, intimate occasions in informal, intimate locations are fabulous, but I also relish and love the fun filled, festival type of ceremony and the more traditional, formal ones.....whatever and however you want it to be. This ceremony is about your love and relationship - it's all about you! ,
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working in the NHS for forty plus years, the idea of becoming a celebrant was suggested by a few friends . Public speaking was part of my role and I thought I would carry that (and other skills acquired through nursing) forward - and here we are! Meeting couples and helping them tell their story, creating a ceremony and then delivering it is an honour - (cheesy? maybe - but true!)

The personal, face to face approach is usually a much preferred way to establish a real connection, but if the only option is via a phone call or on line meeting , then we will certainly try and make that work. The ceremony will be in person though!.
