We used Kavanagh's catering for our wedding recently. Emma was brilliant from start to finish! Having looked at a range of catering options it was such a relief to find Kavanagh's catering - they offered a great menu selection and were excellent value for money. I have used Kavanagh’s Catering on a number of occasions and also attended events that Emma has catered. The food is always superb, from a bbq with a delicious selection of meat, vegetables and salads, a sit down meal with the most amazing lasagna and chocolate brownies, a roasted Turkey with all the accompaniments for a Christmas buffet and a wedding with salmon en croute and sides. Emma couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating in helping me arrange a family gathering. Lots of opinions on offer from the family you might say! On the day, our lunch had been beautifully prepared and presented and tasted delicious. Our evening buffet was equally delicious and prepared with the same care and attention. Suffice to say nothing was left! During lunch, Emma quietly and efficiently went about her work, clearing away, washing up, setting out the buffet so by the time she was ready to leave, all I had to do was enjoy the rest of the afternoon! From the moment I first made contact with Emma she was professional and helpful. Her web site is excellent at describing her services and she responded quickly to my initial contact. She was not at all phased by the uncertainty of the situation ( due to constantly changing regulations on numbers!!) and was adaptable and helpful in agreeing the menu for our fork buffet for 40 people. Emma at Kavanaghs recently catered my daughter Christening for 50 people. She suggested a menu for us to our budget, was easy to talk to and replied quickly to emails. On the event day Emma was on time, calm and organised and set up our afternoon tea table lovely. She kept the cling on the food until the last moment so the sandwiches stayed fresh. It was a warm day but the sandwiches were still nicely chilled upon servicing. The cupcakes were light and fluffy and decorated beautifully. We also had mini filled sweet and savoury scones that were so popular I didn’t get to try one. Emma assisted with pouring our cold drinks, served tea and coffee all afternoon and collected finished items. Totally my fault but I should have asked for tea and coffee to be available after the Christening cake was cut, we left this towards the end of our afternoon when Emma had finished serving hot drinks. There were guests wanting a drink with there cake and we ended up packing cake slices up for people to go home with. I should have organised this with Emma or cut the cut earlier but never mind. I’d been to a party where Kavanagh’s Catering had provided the food so I knew I would have amazing food when I hired them for my 50th birthday celebration at home. From our initial contact call and through the planning and delivery on the day Emma was friendly and professional, made herself available to check out the venue and facilities beforehand and spent time setting up the night before so as to fit in with our plans. The food was beautifully presented , provided a variety of options to cater for vegetarians as well and tasted delicious. Wife and I were searching for a stove last year before the worst cold came out stove had died we bought a floor model of a great stove we had seen elsewhere for 250 more Nick and his associates loaded it right in the back of our Volvo and we are enjoying this stove more than any stove we've ever had, but I need to get Nick to give me his locations for striper fishing
