Jamie & team did a fantastic job redeveloping our garden - they installed a new patio, sleepers, turf and brick edging for our borders. In 3 days they completely transformed our garden!

Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they showed real respect for our home, tidying up thoroughly before they left.

Communication was also excellent - Jamie replied to messages straight away, showed up when he said he would, and was the only one of 3 companies who came to see the job who actually followed up with a quote.

Jamie and his team did a fantastic job at our home. They were hired to build a path & patio, a shed base, establish planting bed (including planting straight pleached trees) and erect a trellis at the front of the house - they did this all in just 3 days. Jamie was communicative and flexible, and where things needed to be adjusted in the plan (the plot was uneven, the access difficult and demanding neighbours) he was straightforward and easy to deal with. JW Landscaping did some work for me last December. Jamie and his team are friendly and efficient, their rates are very competitive and they are happy to offer advise if required. They laid some decking for me and made an excellent job of it. Good quality materials and workmanship. I also asked them to repair a sunken and unstable block paved manhole cover on my drive as the company who initially laid it were not forthcoming in honouring their guarantee. Unfortunately the manhole began to sink again after about 9 months; not surprising really considering the icy conditions Jamie and his guys had to work in, followed by heavy snow immediately after the repair. I contacted Jamie about the problem and he made no fuss in returning to put it right. It’s fantastic to deal with an honest company... Jamie and his team installed a new driveway, demolished a patio, and laid two new patios, added sleepers around the beds, a fence and a new side gate. We are delighted with the result. Rear garden landscaping & driveway
Jamie and his team completed a new front driveway with grey tegula block paving, demolished a raised patio area and replaced it with a new grey porcelain patio and garden path. They also replaced a second patio on a higher level, again with porcelain tiles bordered with railway sleepers. They replaced sandstone dry stone retaining walls throughout with railway sleepers and erected a 6-foot fence to one side of the garden and a new garden gate.
Our garden is quite steeply sloping, and it certainly wasn’t an easy job. Jamie was very knowledgeable and helpful during the planning stage and came round to discuss our options a couple of times to make sure that we were happy with the plan. He suggested changes we would never have thought of which proved to be very effective. Once the job was finished, he came to check everything and make sure all the snagging was completed properly. He followed up a couple of weeks later with a phone call to make sure we were still happy with everything. Which of course we were.
The team were very skilful, professional, and polite. We couldn’t fault any of their work and they answered all our questions as they went along when we were unsure of anything. Nothing was too much trouble, and every part of the job was completed to perfection.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie and his team. We will definitely use him again if we have any future projects and have recommended him to all our friends and family. More...

Jamie and the team at JW Building & Landscaping Services undertook a refurbishment of my garden in August 2023. The interaction through the tendering stage was good and he offered me some good alternative product ideas which we eventually decided upon.
The works were scheduled to take 5 days (for a project which had been estimated at 15-16 days by other competitors) so I was mildly apprehensive whether or not they would hit their programme target. JW wasn’t the cheapest of the 3 quotes I received but I had received a good testimony from a recent Client of his and went to see the quality of work beforehand.
The project was planned and resourced more than adequately and was finished by early afternoon on Day 5. Site left clean, tidy and free from all waste material.
Very happy with the quality and also his attendance to post-project snagging which was undertaken 2 days later.

Jamie completed some quite complex work for us. We found him responsive; he is always quick to reply to messages and pretty much always answers his phone. He has good attention to detail and communicates well. He has lots of energy and enthusiasm, which was very useful to keep our projects moving.

Jamie and his team had the job to take my garden back 10 feet and build an extended patio
This informed digging up a large amount of turf and remove and then lay a new patio
They then also re layed my side alley patio and the front patio
At the back of the garden they also dig out turf to lay a cement base an area so a cabin can be erected
Jamie’s team achieved all of the above work within 5 working days and were fantastic in there work and kept us informed the whole way

We would definitely highly recommend Jamie and his team. They are incredibly hardworking and efficient with fantastic eye for detail. Jamie was very happy to visit several times during the quoting stage to discuss options and his in depth knowledge was very useful to us. Our site was tricky with different levels and the access was not straightforward but this proved not to be a problem for the team. They are very experienced in working with porcelain tiles, and we are delighted with the resulting large split level patio, fantastic new wall and multiple sets of steps. Can’t wait to use it all once the weather improves.

At every stage, Jamie was wanting to please the customer and make sure that we were happy with everything. It is the small details which make the difference when it comes to the finished result and we cannot fault it. In fact there were several finishing touches which they automatically included which we did not even expect.

Jamie has got a fantastic large team who are all in uniform with liveried vans giving a professional job in all weathers.
