Wendy is very good and kind at puppy training,after my first session I was very happy and knew I had made the right decision to have Wendy from Jump4Joy, we have had six sessions,and I now have a puppy,that is well on her way to being trained,I shall miss my sessions,once again thank you very much Wendy.

I approached Wendy, as I was struggling to control my 3 year old border collie rescue dog. Mila would get overexcited and have an almost constant need for attention. Mila was also scared of being around other dogs.

After an initial call with Wendy and expressing my concerns , she could tell straightaway what the issues were, and this was confirmed after the first of three visits.

I have learned some simple but very useful techniques, that have helped my Mila become more focused. She is able to concentrate on new commands, and I feel more confident that they are working.

I contacted Wendy for her help with my mini sausage dog barking when we had visitors and barking at noises in the garden. She was very helpful and gave us techniques to practice with guides to follow . Wendy is very knowledgable, patient and friendly which made her a pleasure to work with. We had excellent results and I don’t worry about visitors coming to the house any longer. My dog took to her in no time and was happy to do the training. Wendy has a lot of knowledge and experience dealing with all different species and sizes. Hugo is a very high energy dog German shorthaired pointer x Labrador. One of the most valuable things I took from puppy training was to teach your dog to rest. All of the puppy training was fantastic and my dog took to them very well. A few years later I had to bring Wendy to our home to help me manage unwanted barking in the garden. Hugo was observed and we discovered that he was ‘protecting’ me and was patrolling the perimeter. We worked on establishing the boundaries, acknowledging his barking by checking the area but giving him signs that there was no danger. I’ve only mentioned a couple of strategies in Wendy’s portfolio, but there’s a whole lot more to learn. If you need help with your dog definitely reach out for puppy lessons to get the basics embedded firmly. If there are any other difficulties or bothersome behaviour Wendy will have a solution. Had three 1to1 sessions with Wendy after my dog was becoming more reactive and incessantly barking. Wendy instructed on simple but effective training techniques to get a better understanding and handle his behaviour. I got InTouch with Wendy at Jump4Joy hoping she would be able to help me with my 18 month old Staffie X. She would go crazy when a delivery person arrived. She would attack the door trying to get to them. I would have to hold her back while taking the parcel and she would grab the parcel out of the delivery persons hands. She would scare them that they couldn't get away quick enough. There were a few other issues which i needed help with. When i spoke to Wendy she was confident that she could train me to stop Lexi from this serious issue and the other few issues. After 3 weeks of weekly sessions lexi got to the stage of not grabbing the parcel and allowing me to take the parcel. She now sits there and watches me most of the time. We used both the 121 service and the Puppy Classes. We found both very informative. The 121's were particular helpful as Wendy could focus on particular areas to work on. Wendy she has helped us so much. We found the 1 2 1 sessions really informative, Wendy helped us crate train our puppy so thanks to her we are now getting a peaceful nights sleep and also with separation anxiety. I contacted Wendy to help with our 11 month old springer who was literally running riot. I booked 3 one to ones with Wendy. Even after the first session we noticed a difference in his behaviour and a calmness. We did our research into finding the best trainer for our 9 month Cavapoochon Bella to help with recall. I am so happy to have found Wendy at Jump4joy. We had 1:1 training and Wendy taught me the techniques to help with training Bella. Each session we learnt techniques and fun games to help Bella with recall. I found Wendy on google after looking for a very specific behaviourist that could help us with our dog Jake. He can’t cope with us separating in public, and barks incessantly when playing with other dogs out of pure excitement! Wendy called me straight away and even just on the phone she seemed to know so much about what might be triggering this behaviour. We paid for the 1-2-1 training and are so glad we did. Wendy’s calming manner with Jake and her incredible knowledge helped us to understand even some basics of what we should be doing in the house before we even start to improve his behaviour outside of the house! She was so insightful and was always on hand to answer my questions even in between our sessions. We are now following Wendy’s advice and we are seeing improvements day by day, we know we have to be consistent and I’m confident in a few months we will finally be able to go to the pub with Jake without him kicking off!! Working with Wendy has been amazing for us and for our little Jack Russell Rodney . As Rodney got older he became more reactive to noise/people/dogs/delivery’s etc and also became very protective. Wendy realised that a lot of Rodney’s issues were because he believed he was the boss of the family and needed to protect us . Working with Wendy was brilliant , The home visits and the follow up emails/ calls are amazing !! She gave us the ability to work on different aspects and gave us the training and techniques needed . We are starting to see the switching of the hierarchy and in turn Rodney is becoming less reactive at certain things and we can 100% see the difference . Wendy has been a life changer for us! She made the effort to travel out of her way to see us and my dog was reactive to people but within one session my dog loved her! We would 110% recommend Wendy. We were struggling with our puppy's separation anxiety and my partner had been sleeping on the sofa since we got him! After just one home visit we noticed such a difference and my partner managed to get back up to bed for the first time in 6 weeks! She also gave us some great tips for toilet training which have been such a help (especially when it's raining) and I'm also now able to work upstairs and leave him downstairs without him crying and howling. Wendy has been absolutely brilliant with the home visits to help us with our Romanian rescue puppy. We were really struggling with our puppy’s mouthing and reactivity on walks and the training exercises Wendy gave us have made such a difference to building confidence, being less reactive, and made our evenings with our puppy a lot less stressful. My dog was a rescue and after having her for 3 months her behaviour was getting very challenging. I have tried a few behaviourists in the past for my dog, but just never really progressed with them, Wendy provided me with some key training tips to help me with my reactive/anxious dog which I will continue to use daily, and although the first day Oscar just barked at Wendy by the end of the 3 visits Oscar had his head in her bag after her treats and toys feeling confident around her.
