What do you love most about your job?
Simple, I love working with people who aspire to better themselves. My approach is very different to many of my competitors, in that it is very consultative, and there are no question-and-answer emails, we will talk. I like to find out what makes you tick, not just about your job but your style of working, and how you do things. What do you want to do in your next role?
I really enjoy hearing from people that have found their next role, or they have the interview they have been chasing, and it all started with a CV we produced together. Luckily I very often hear back from clients. On a number of occasions, I have started doing the gentleman's CV, then his wife's, and then the children's. Yes, I love what I do, which comes across in my reviews.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my first business when I was 26, and I did very well. However It was also at the time when inflation was going through the roof, and I had to make the choice of investing largely in my business at great risk or taking a job in the corporate world which was safer. For years afterward I always thought "what if". So many years later, I was made redundant and took the plunge again. It was an overnight success that's not to say it wasn't hard work, It was, and within 2 years the Turnover was over 200K with a 27% margin. Having my own customers, and seeing the balance sheet grow was truly inspiring. I then sold that business and started writing CVs for people and have not looked back since
Why should our clients choose you?
By far the biggest reason is that I have read thousands of CVs and interviewed nearly as many in my working life. I know how a CV should look 2 pages maximum is the norm. ATS compliant, no fancy fonts, or pretty patterns. I have a very wide experience of life. From living in Africa as a child, serving in the Royal Navy, then senior management in a multi-national corporation. Sectors I have worked in, Military, Retail, Charity, Travel, Hospitality, and Leisure. I have experience of writing CVS in the Health, Financial, Sales, Education, Sport, Manufacturing, Production, Police, Fire Service and many more

I have been advising people remotely for the 2 years. I have had customers all over Europe, Canada and the Far East. In fact, if you have a telephone or link to the internet it does not matter where you are, I can write a CV for you
CV Writing
The process I use is very consultative; in other words, we will do a lot of talking; I don't send out questionnaires or just rehash your old CV in a new format. It will be a brand new, up-to-date document in a format of your choosing using Keywords e,c.
Below is the process I use on all of my CV's without exception
When you agree to work with me I will send you an email asking for four different pieces of information. We will then put a date in the diary to go through this, I will ask many questions. I have a vast amount of experience in many sectors, so the information I am seeking will be very pertinent to your role. For me to write about you I need to know where you have been, where you are now and where you want to go. Else how can I write about your working life. We will talk about the sectors you wish to look at and perhaps why, I often offer some other ideas at this point. At this point I might ask for some more information it is often financials as I need to show the scope of your role. This whole conversation takes about an hour may be more.
Once I have the above we will put another date in the diary for us to go through the first draft. I will then get to work and send you the first draft prior to our meeting. When we have this meeting we will then go through that draft word for word and I mean word for word. This is your CV and you are an expert in your working history. This part is now about building blocks, and anything I have written is up for debate, adding, information changing or using a different language. Remember your CV is a document that will be a maximum of two pages, any more than the reader is turned off, it should invite the reader to want to meet you, it is not war and peace. It is the skills you have and how you use them. The detail part is what you will give in your interview. This process can take upto 2 hours.
I then go away and produce a second draft, and do the above above again. We repeat this process until you the client is happy.
At this stage, I will go through how ATS works and how all my CVs are ATS compliant. Not only will I explain it to you I will also spend time showing you how to put in the correct keywords in your CV for every job that you apply for. It's a simple process and when done properly will improve your chances of getting an interview by 400/500%, fact.
We then move on to the cover letter. This is totally different from your CV and holds a very distinct purpose. Simply it explains why you are the best person for the role you have applied for. The layout is extremely professional and again uses keywords (do not underestimate how important this is.) You have a choice I can either write a letter for a particular role or a more general one. On top of this, I will give you a template for future cover letters, so you can see where to enter the keywords. I like to think of it as future-proofing you.
Once this is done, we move on to your LinkedIn, again don't underestimate how powerful this piece of software is, and no matter what stage you are at you should have a professional LinkedIn profile. Putting your info on is easy and takes a short amount of time. What I then do on top of this is then give you a session for approximately 30/40 minutes on how LinkedIn works and take you through all the backroom settings step by step. You will be surprised how much better it is when you configure it to you. I will show you how to get in front of recruiters, and make sure the settings are tailored to your circumstances.

Cover Letter
If you send a CV then you should always send a cover letter
A cover letter explains to the employer why you are the best person for the job you are applying for. The letters I produce are to the employer about the role you want using your skills in the description.
