How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Space for compliant stair to satisfy Park K of the building regulations. Can wr achieve the minimum head heights in the loft.
Structure, do we require steelwork which may be a constraint or have cost impact on the scheme.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Feasibility whereby will ascertain client needs. Discuss proposals and whether the scheme looks feasible and if Planning permission is required depending upon proposals and area.
Full survey and detailed proposals.
Intrusive work if required, prior to commencement to explore foundations, lintels taking increased loads to satisfy building control.
What do you love most about your job?
Love seeing an empty space of land and designing a new house. I find it incredibly rewarding visiting a client and working with them to deliver their vision then seeing the end product.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like being my own boss and working around my family to take kids to school and collect.

Ideally I like to see the scheme and meet the client to make sure I understand their needs. From the initial meeting and subsequent survey I can work remotely to deliver plans.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I maintain safe working distance and happy to wear any necessary PPE if the client wishes.
