After spending 6 months working full time for a gardener, i now work on a self employed basis and have acquired multiple customers in my village and the bath area cutting hedges and pruning trees.

I feel very sad that I can not leave a positive review, as my experience with Jacques was not a great one. I have been left with a job that has not been completed, a lot of mess to tidy up, cracked plant pots and a precious rose that has been broken.
When I tried to get in touch and air my views I got no response and when I eventually did hear back from Jacques I was told “that perhaps you ought to be realistic and grateful for the generous price for a large apple tree pruned”!
I feel very disappointed that the work I paid for has not been completed. Jacques set the price and told me that he could do the job. I do understand that he underestimated the amount of work there was to do and that communication should have been better on both parts however, there has been no attempt on his part to rectify the matter or even any suggestion of me paying for more hours. He has simply told me that “ I did the main job at hand as agreed, that is all there is to it” and “I’ve fulfilled the agreed work. I won’t be continuing this discussion further”
All in all, very disappointing.

Needed a lot of strimming done. He came in advance to check and quoted 120.00 for 4 hours PLUS Bark Fee 15.00. He said his equipment was expensive - strimmer was £1000. When he came to do 4 hrs the strimmer he used could not get through established weeds. Plus no insurance, no protective clothing or goggles. £30+ per hour is a professional rate. This guy is not a professional. He also added £5 petrol to the bill. More...

Hi Claire sorry you feel that way. I was very honest and upfront with all my terms before, which you didnt have to accept. And I strimmed through almost double the amount of grass i could have done in the time with an ordinary worse quality strimmer. What i charged for the quantity of long grass strimmed I felt was very reasonable. As for protection i wear eye protection and ear defenders which is more than enough protection for strimming, as someone who has been doing this a long time
