Jackie has been a great tutor for my daughter for Eng. Literature GCSE. She has an excellent knowledge of the texts my daughter was studying for and was able to put my daughter at ease during the lessons. My daughter had missed a lot of schoolwork and had zero confidence with Eng. Literature. Jackie has really helped my daughter understand how to interpret the texts and how to answer exam questions. Jackie set and marked work and was very prompt with feedback. She was also excellent giving advice on how my daughter could improve her answers, and provided e-mail support outside of lessons. We found Jacqueline to be very friendly and approachable. Jacqueline was very knowledgeable in the 11+ subject, and found she targeted the information for a 9 ear old very well. She mixed the lesson with discussion, verbal work and written responses, which is important for pupils to understand the level of grammar and punctuation required for these exams. Jacquis experience from teaching shines through. She is very encouraging for a pupil to learn and understand what it is she needs in a response.
