We recently had our roof completely replaced by J Mitchell Roofing and Guttering Services in Darlington, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Lewis, who is the boss, and Ian worked incredibly hard over just 4 days to complete the full roof replacement on our 4-bedroom detached house. Lewis ran the project brilliantly — professional, organised, and always making sure everything was completed to a high standard. Both he and Ian were extremely hardworking, putting in long days and constantly keeping us informed, showing us their progress and checking that we were happy at every stage. Their transparency and communication were excellent, giving us complete confidence throughout. A special mention has to go to Ian as well — he is, without doubt, the hardest-working man we have ever met. came out to replace a missing ridge tile on my parents house, took a video to show rest were loose. repaired the lot but I was impressed that he phoned me first to check it was OK to go ahead as my parents were elderly. nice to find an honest tradesman! job all finished with guarantee. highly recommend. Completed a full roof replacement. Excellent job and done in very good time. Roof looks fantastic and the team was very friendly.

Professional, reliable and 5 star work. After receiving many quotes from different companies for a new roof we were quoted a very reasonable price after doing our research (other companies were trying to have our eyes out with double the quote. ) The team that came were polite and hard working and very understanding of a new born in the house and a dog who wanted to be out in the garden constantly. They came on time and worked none stop. Even when work ran on late they were conscious of noise and came back the next day. The roof is now water tight, weather resistant and looks great. I can already tell the difference with heat being trapped rather than escaping through the many holes. I would definitely recommend them, my neighbour has already asked for their details and I have happily given them. More...

After finding a leak on my ceiling, I had decided it was time to have my extension roof renewed. I had contacted several companies and Lewis from J Mitchell responded quickly and arranged for an inspection the same day. I was given an enticing quote for a new roof, fascia, soffit and guttering and was told work could be carried out the following day. Given the prospect for heavy rain in 2 days times, I decided to go for J Mitchell. Sure enough he and his team showed up promptly the next morning and got straight to work. His team, Lewis and Ian, were friendly, well mannered and extremely hard working and managed to complete almost all the works in a single day; a job that would have taken any other roofers twice as long for twice the price. All that remained was to finish fitting the guttering and remove the waste and old tiles. Lewis said he would be back the next morning to finish the job, and despite already having been paid in full and heavy rain that most people wouldn't even leave the house to go get some milk for, Lewis was true to his word and came back and finished the job and took away the waste. Overall my experience with J Mitchell Roofing was fantastic from start to finish. In Lewis and his team, you know you have workers who won't leave something half finished or run away from a job. They are completely reliable and are rightly so confident in their work, that they only take payment after all work is completed and the customer is satisfied. Would highly recommend to anyone.
