My interest in photography and radio controlled aeroplanes suddenly collided around 12 years ago. And out of the collision emerged my latest passion - flying drones whilst taking photographs and videos of landscapes, coastlines and buildings of interest. But recent years have seen almost every law and regulation regarding owning and flying drones dramatically change, making many leisure owners give up their hobby in fear of prosecution. But for some, including me, took the plunge and studied like crazy to pass the appropriate exams and qualify as professional drone pilots.

Professional UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) pilots have to abide by UK rules, laws and regulations no different to other commercial pilots, where legislation permits only those that have passed various exams to achieve an approved CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) licence to fly drones. This means we are governed and regulated by the CAA with individual identification Flyer and Operator numbers.

Unfortunately not. Although some aspects of your hire of our services will be carried out online behind the scenes - flight restriction zones, first risk assessment, first site flight plan, weather forecasting... etc., we will need to visit your site to record/map your service requirements. However, as mentioned, images, videos and mapping surveys can be sent to you via email, so no need to wait for written reports to make urgent decisions. And should you require a pen drive we can also supply you one of these.
