We recently used Ipsum Renewables for our Solar PV installation. We chose Ipsum from a number of quotes based on; they came to site prior to quoting and did a full survey to ascertain suitability, system size and profile, plant location and cable runs etc. They were very technically knowledgeable, and provided advice and information on all aspects of the design and installation. Their quotation was very competitive compared to 5 others. Once we instructed them to proceed they obtained all necessary authorisations and clearances prior to agreeing a date for the installation. The actual installation to place as agreed and the team were technically knowledgeable, professional and competent, everything was installed in a neat and tidy manor, and left working and fully commissioned. Documentation and certification followed within days. The office staff have provided information and support through the installation and continue to do so post installation. I would have not hesitation in recommending Ipsum Renewables and have actually recommended they to my brother-in-law who then also used them. More...

Ipsum installed a heat pump with underfloor heating in our home last year. We were so impressed, we had them back last week to install solar panels with batteries and they certainly delivered again. From first contact to completion, they have listened, advised and put up with a million questions from me. Despite the overcast weather since our solar install, we’ve generated all the power we needed, fully charged the batteries and even exported to the grid! Impressive! Yes, we had three quotes initially and Ipsum came out the least expensive and most comprehensive. They’re not at all pushy, gave us no sales patter and are obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about their products. They listened to us, understood us and gave us exactly what we wanted. Other firms who quoted seemed to just be quoting an off the shelf system which was inadequate for our needs. The installation was very efficient, and the engineers were both very knowledgeable. Ipsum Renewables attended our home, discussed our requirements, carried out a survey and subsequently prepared a project report together with a quote to carry out the work. When the installation was carried out the engineers recommended a change of location for the batteries and control unit from the loft to the garage. They explained the reasoning behind this and it made sense. All the work was carried out with a minimum of mess and disruption. The end result was a very neat and tidy installation, which we are very pleased with. Nothing was too much trouble and the engineers were happy to answer all the questions I had. After the installation was completed we were given a full talk through of the panel and were helped to set up the app on my phone. We were provided with a pack with the manuals electronically. In addition we were told that there was technical support available over the phone with staff in the office who are very knowledgeable and if I wanted the engineers would visit to help me with any problems. The customer support is first rate. I have had to contact the office for support when I changed our home WiFi and the problem was resolved quickly. I also contacted the office for help in setting the levels and timing of discharging from our batteries to the grid. Amy listened to what I wanted to achieve and with my agreement was able to remotely set everything up on my app during my telephone call. There were some delays caused by our DNO not meeting its statutory time obligations which was very frustrating. Amy supported us throughout this keeping the pressure on the DNO with repeated enquiries. At every stage we were kept informed and any queries were quickly answered in unambiguous terms.
