Life Coaching

Having now started working with Kay I cannot recommend her enough, from the minute we started working together, I have felt like I am getting to where I want to be, and better understanding all aspects of my life. Kay is someone I see as a long term part of my life and a key part of future success, development and happiness. If you're debating a life coach you don't need to go anywhere else! More...

I have known kay for many years and she has coached me through so many aspects of life that I have found challenging. She is not only supportive and non-judgemental, but has really listened to me and reflected on ways to help me though personal issues with anxiety, confidence, stress and motivation. My time spent with kay has truly impacted my life and developed me into a person I am proud to be. Her range of practical techniques and knowledge of how the brain works has given me new understandings of dealing with personal struggles, something that I have shared with friends who have told how much it has helped them as well! I cannot recommend talking to Kay enough, thank you Kay!! More...

I initially chose to work with Kay regarding plotting a new direction with my business and ended up using my new found tools to help with my children who had experienced difficult times following my divorce. On the business side, I have now set a great positive course, (I was previously floundering) leading to my semi-retirement. I now have firm, but achievable goals. I know where I am heading and have a route planned on how to get there. I have a positive and excited attitude to my future and feel that a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The answers were there all the time, Kay helped me answer my own questions. I have used my new positive attitude sucessfully in dealing with the needs of my children. Thank you Kay. More...

Q&As

The realisation in a client that they can see how small actions have resulted in greater satisfaction, happiness and success in their life.

I started my own business offering coaching when I realised that a one size fits all approach of some statutory services does not accommodate for individual difference. Each client has a different combination of life experiences, aspirations, goals and skills which when explored with an independent, trained coach can result in greater changes.

I have worked in both the statutory, voluntary and now private practice. I trained as a life coach utilising the cognitive behavioural approach in 2016, so have over 7 years experience. The breath of coaching areas I work with enables the coaching process to focus on one or many different areas of life that a client is seeking to change or improve upon. I have achieved a BSC (Hons) and Masters degree in Psychology, continue to develop my practice through continued professional development and attend regular supervision. I hold indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate.

I currently provide coaching sessions online via Teams /Zoom/WhatsApp.

I am happy to hold remote sessions via FaceTime if these platforms are not available.

Services

Coaching is a non-judgemental, goal driven and empowering relationship facilitating you to exceed prior levels of personal development or professional performance.

As your coach I will facilitate conversations in order for you to be able to identify which areas of your life you are not satisfied with and want to change.

This could be coaching to improve your career, health, relationships, confidence, boundary setting, confidence, developing positive habits, personal development or professional performance.

We will work together to help you understand your character strengths, personal values, knowledge, skills, experiences and will help you to recognise patterns of behaviour which have led to seeking change.

A coaching session involves conversation about where you are in your life now, what your goals are and what options you can identify to achieve these goals.

Sometimes identifying exactly ‘what’ you want to change in your life can be difficult and as your Life Coach I will use question techniques and coaching models to help you navigate your thought processes in order to identify realistic achievable goals.

The important thing is to find a coach who you feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly with.

Individual coaching areas; relationships, developing positive habits, work/life balance, parenting, ex-military transitioning to civilian life, career change, performance anxiety, motivation and confidence building, personal and professional development, stress management and performance coaching, young people coaching.

In order to make the service as assessable as possible, I offer a reduced fee for young people aged 18-24yrs.

As your life coach I will work with you confidentially and without judgement in order for you to explore the skills you have and understand the ones you can develop.

Coaching is not therapy or counselling, but an empowering environment where you will be able to share your concerns, explore your values, and work towards goals you set for yourself to achieve personal development and professional success. Common coaching areas I work with young people include: time/task management, procrastination, performance anxiety, exam stress, fear of failure, relationships, confidence and motivation, boundary setting.

Perfectionism, time/task management, procrastination, performance anxiety and stress.
Cognitive Behavioural Coaching can help you to understand your emotions and thoughts in order to change your viewpoint to one more likely to lead to better results, with raised confidence levels.

This can relate to any area of your life. Has a recent event knocked your confidence? Perhaps you feel a lack of confidence in different areas of your life? Does this generate fear, anxiety or a lack of self- worth? Maybe you feel that you just don’t fit in? Coaching can help you discover your authentic self with an acceptance of the skills, experience and knowledge that you do have and an achievable path to improve upon these. You can feel capable with a sense of belonging and confidence in who you are.

Including work life balance and career change, work placed interactions and conflict

Are you feeling dissatisfied in your current job, experiencing imposter syndrome, frustrated with colleagues or looking to change professions? Perhaps you’ve been thinking about taking the leap to working for yourself and all the challenges involved in being self-employed. Recently retired or been made redundant? Coaching can help you to navigate your situation, motivate you to recognise your expertise in order for you to confidently progress in your future professional life.

When life is out of balance this can impact our mental health and wellbeing. Focussing on your values and strengths we will work together to enable you to find balance in your life, to improve mental wellbeing and gain greater happiness and success.
