Addiction Therapy
About Me and My Therapy Practice:
If you're facing addiction, relapses, or the challenges of recovery, I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore these struggles and move toward a more fulfilling life.
As a specialist addiction counsellor, I support clients in areas such as behaviour change, coping strategies, repairing relationships, and finding meaningful purpose.
Using techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and motivational interviewing, I tailor sessions to help you harness your strengths and overcome challenges.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but working with a compassionate, non-judgmental therapist can empower you to reflect, grow, and make meaningful changes. Together, we can create lasting, positive transformation. With over 20 years of experience in NHS addiction services, I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, as well as a Master’s in Clinical & Public Health Aspects of Addiction.
Practice Description:
I offer a non-judgmental, supportive space where you can work towards lasting change. Drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches, I provide evidence-based support to help you address addictive behaviours and sustain positive transformations. To deepen your progress, some sessions may include activities or reflections outside of therapy.
Therapy sessions are conducted online, giving you the flexibility and comfort of working from your own space. You’ll need to ensure a quiet, confidential environment for our 50-minute weekly sessions.
First Session:
Your first session is free and allows us to get to know each other, explore your needs, and determine how we can work together. We’ll discuss your current challenges, relationships, strengths, and goals, and I’ll answer any questions you may have. Many clients find value even in this first session, but there’s no obligation to continue.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule weekly sessions at a time that works for you. Before the first paid session, I’ll send a 'Client and Counsellor Agreement' form outlining our responsibilities.
If you’re ready to take the next step, reach out to schedule your free initial session.
