Matt has a fantastic level of knowledge and each session is personally developed for your dog.

Matt was able to teach us how to deal with our dog and recognise his behaviours and in doing so our dog now behaves much better and does what he’s told. Dog walks were previously very difficult and with the training from Matt we are now able to walk without being pulled along.

After each session Matt would send a video log so that we could continue to develop the new skills whilst awaiting the next session.

Great service all round and Matt is highly recommended. More...

The reason for my rating is because HoundMasters are an excellent dog training business, Matt was amazing with my dog Pluto who was very reactive to every dog he came across which made walks very stressful for Pluto and myself, but after 6 lessons with Matt Pluto is a different dog and going on walks now is great fun for both Pluto and myself , Matt also gives you great feedback on what you should or shouldn’t be doing to get the best experience for your dog and yourselves happiness , I strongly recommend HoundMasters .

Matt is an incredible dog trainer who has a wealth of knowledge about dogs and their behaviours. Another fantastic training session with Matt (Houndmasters). Training is so much fun that Monty forgets he is learning. Videos back up everything that we have learned and are ours to keep for reference. My relationship with Monty has changed for the better - not that there was anything wrong with it to start with - but having learned more about the psycholigy of dogs and their interaction with hunans, our relationship has gone from strength to strength and we both understand each other and are the best friends we could ever be. We bought a package of lessons from Matt to help us with our lurcher puppy (saluki x grey) as we've not owned a sighthound before.

Matt has been fantastic for our dog, giving clear advice, feedback and provides video recordings with commentary of the important things we, as owners need to grasp.

However, no trainer is a miracle worker and you will need to go away after lessons to practice what's being taught if you want to see improvements.

Matt is a good communicator, very clear and will not leave you hanging. We will be booking some top up sessions with him as we are sure his influence has been nothing but positive for our dog and its behaviour is all the better for it. More...

Matt has been amazing and really helped us with training our new Puppy! His attention to detail and understanding of what we needed has been spot on every step of the way! Matt is a brilliant trainer he truly cares not only for the dogs he trains but in general, he has changed my world with my dog Pluto who was very reactive around other dogs, which Made going out on walks very challenging,

I was looking for a trainer to help me with my reactive dog Pluto, who was very anxious and reactive when out on a walk, even if the dogs were on the other side of the road, so I went on line not knowing what I was really looking for, and I came across hound harmony so I read the reviews and was impressed and thought this is what I am looking for, so I sent a message and within less than 30 Minutes I had a call from Matt Bates, who took the time and trouble to listen to my concerns and we arranged a appointment there and then, I strongly recommend Matt to help you train your dog, he is knowledgeable and understanding of what you are trying to achieve whist being very honest in regards to what you and your dog needs are to achieve the goals you want to reach, Matt is friendly and professional at all times, and Pluto and I are having so much fun now as Matts experience have fixed Plutos fears.

Found Matt to be very knowledgeable and friendly. He really cars for the dogs he teaches. We have only had three sessions so far and I have noticed a difference in my dogs already.

We found Matt via google search and called him over for meet and greet and initial assesment for Cocoa who at the time was 5andhalf months. Matt explained to us about his methodology that the training would be for more about our behaviour and approach toward Cocoa and he structured the training in such a way that he accounted for Cocoa's age and the amount of time she can spend in training and extended his session at no extra cost from the usual 6 to 12 which was comfortable for us and Cocoa. He filmed Cocoa's and our behaviour during the session to shows us if we were doing things right or wrong. By the end of the last few sessions we transformed from nervous and clueless dog parents to fairly confident leaders of the pack. 5 stars for Matt. Ive been trying for years and spent thousands on trying to train my sprocker to return and by session 2 with matt, my dog was returning to me 100%. I cant recommend him enough!
