Dr Fiona literally transformed my health. I had been ill for about 2 years spending a few days a week in bed and barely able to work. How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
Diet and other lifestyle measures are absolutely key to our health and well-being. Our diet is so much more than the calories we put in. The effects of moving away from fat based to carbohydrate based diets and from fresh to processed and packed foods are only just beginning to be understood. Add to the the depletion of nutrients in the soil in which we grow our vegetables, and from which we feed our livestock and you can begin to understand the differences that good food in our bodies can make. I am astounded how much difference I can help create in someone's health simply by being able to tackle these things with them.
What do you love most about your job?
The joined up thinking and piecing together of a puzzle with my clients to make a difference to their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I work part-time in the NHS, but feel more and more constrained both by guidelines that prioritise medication over other interventions and by the short consultation length we get. I wanted to be able to help those not in my NHS practice and to do it in a way that felt I was giving it my all for each person.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a background in general practice so understand the medical side of someone's story, as well as the logistical, financial and political limitations within conventional medicine, that lead people to look elsewhere. I can balance what they are doing with their own doctor alongside something more.

I am very willing to consult remotely. However, if you live near enough and are willing it can aid the therapeutic relationship to meet face to face at least once.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I do not believe this question is currently applicable. As a health professional I take the health and well-being of myself and my clients very seriously. I would not consider seeing clients face to face if I believed I had an infectious illness, whatever that illness was.

Individualised care and consideration of your current health, your goals and your challenges. I work with you to help you come to a better understanding of how food and lifestyle effect you, your body, your mind and (if appropriate) even your family.
small group course
I run a small group course, usually twice a year, for those who want an in depth introduction to nutrition so that they can take their new knowledge home and use it to help their own and their families long term health. No prior knowledge is required. This is an "in-person" course so that I can adapt it according to the people in the room and the interactions of the group.
cookery lessons in your own home
The idea of this is to help those who feel they have missed out on the basic lessons of how to cook healthy and affordable meals without it taking all day. I can come to your house and we can work together to build a store cupboard and range of healthy affordable dishes you can cook yourself.
