I booked an airport transfer with Howard, of HL Transport, after finding him via Bark. He was very informative, punctual, smartly dressed and very friendly, and our transfer to Heathrow was completely stress-free. On our return transfer Howard was delayed at a different airport so organised another driver to pick us up (Catalin), and we were greeted as soon as we came through arrivals and dropped back to our door, again stress-free. I booked the taxi for my parents to go to and from the airport. Mum was very pleased about the service they received, the drivers were very helpful, on time, kept in communication at all times and were polite and professional which put my nerves mum at ease as she doesn't normally use taxis but has said she will definitely use this company again

What do you love most about your job?
I'm a friendly person. I enjoy talking to people, maybe that's why I was a cab driver for 19 years, though I do know when to tone it down if need be. Maybe the customer has calls to make, emails to send or sleep to catch up on. I like my customers to feel comfortable, relaxed and stress free so that they will feel nice and fresh ready for that well earned break or business meeting. Ready for that flight, cruise or train departure.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Always wanted to have my own business. I had one years ago since before Covid but like a lot of businesses I had to close it because the work wasn't there anymore. Always wanted to prove to myself again that I could build up a small but professional company that likes to drive people around but not as a taxi driver, more a Private Hire Driver. Not wanting to get involved anymore (after 19 years) with undesirables on the rank.

Because I like to think that I am professional, caring, honest and always willing to go that extra bit further. My customers requests, comfort and reliability are what counts. My number one priority.

HL Travel has a website - www.hltravel.co.uk. It is professional, informative, self explanatory and should have answers to a lot of customer enquiries. You will see that we have a Terms and Conditions page which, when read, you will see that it protects you (the customer) and HL Travel (the service provider) against any problems that might arise. We suggest that you may look over it before booking. We do think the TsnCs do cover all or most questions that the customer may have. Yes you can book us direct through the website if you wish. We also have an HL Travel Facebook page. To book us you can either email us - travelbyhlt@gmail.com, call us on 07799 764905 or go through our Facebook page which links you to our website. Quite often we have discounted prices on there if your trip should fall in with any of our bookings listed and you are going to or from 1 of our 10 pickup points so do keep any on HL Travels' Facebook page.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Unfortunately Covid came and it caused a lot of problems to a lot of businesses. I used to have a Private Hire company called Contract Cars. I was losing to much money so I had to let it go. Fortunately a lot of my old customers have come back to me.

Meet and Greet
HL Travel offer a Meet and Greet service whether you are at airport arrivals or cruise terminal arrivals. We will be there with a board with your name, flight number/cruise ship details and return area only on it. Not your address. For security and safety reasons. We do ask that you have your phone on when you are back in the UK waiting for your bags so that we can keep in touch with each other in case of delays and so we can tell you where exactly we will meet you.
We shall help you with your cases, into the car and get you home safe and sound.
