Helpbox, have provided a good service

It's been two weeks.

Helpbox have been very helpful so far. I'm sure they will continue to be moving forward.

This is a very helpful company. They understood exactly what I needed and made me feel at ease.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews, and I should have checked that Helpbox were registered with a professional body.
I signed up with Help Box in September and started paying the monthly fee. After a few months I started getting calls from their sales team asking if i would like to use their services.. this raised alarm bells. I checked my Xero account to see if they had accessed it, and in 4 months had never accepted the invite. I asked for an account manager to be assigned. - I was assigned one. When I finally got a response from her (2 weeks) I asked why no VaT invoices had been issued and was told "this isn't something we do but can give you a statement" I then asked for a call to be set up... again after a couple of weeks she responded, with a date and time. That appointment came and went with no call, email or message. She did finally call later that week and said that "sorry we had lots of internal meetings so didn't get time to call" - seriously!!
I then explained I was completely unhappy with the service provided and wanted my money back.
I was then emailed by their operations manager, Alex. He, in effect, blamed my email address (a business address that I used hundreds of times per week with no issue) but offered to complete my accounts for the balance that I had paid so far. He said he'd conducted an extensive review, but then managed to get the amount I'd paid completely wrong. How can I have confidence they can complete my annual acounts when they get simple detail like that wrong after an "extensive" review? Again, it takes Alex weeks to respond to emails, and he has categorically failed to acknowledge that any of the issues are on their side
I am now having to deal with HMRC complaints regarding the refusal to supply a VaT invoice and Trading Standards about heir unprofessional conduct Two things I don't have time for.
HelpBox are a total waste of valuable time. I have paid them over £800 and they have not lifted a finger in terms of service, they send spam emails every day and don't respond to you let alone acknowledge they may be in the wrong

Very responsive and readonably priced

Fantastic personalised service. Genuine interest in my business and specific advice given to me. Really felt that they genuinely cared about both me and my business.

Great way to find a professional, however expect to receive an over whelming amount of calls.

Efficient professional and helpful

They're very quick and after speaking to Michelle, we felt extremely comfortable moving forward. Her customer service was the winning factor for us.

Helpbox were very swift to act and I was able to get an accountant which I think will be suitable for my needs.

AVOID THIS ACCOUNTANCY COMPANY AT ALL COST!! Lousy service for the exorbitant MONTHLY fees they are charging to the stress and headache dealing with them. Replies weeks late for email request and their agents are uncoordinated, was still continually charged even if I already terminated my accounts with them until I told them. Requested a breakdown and an invoice for the final review fee before termination of almost £400 but continually ignored. But months after the "final review", more invoices was charged to me, including one of Self Assessment that was two years late already. Will never respond to request for explanation to questionable fees but have immediate response when it comes to asking for payment charges. For a self- employed limited company like myself, I could have researched better and have found more ethical private accountants. So save yourself headache and look somewhere else. More...

Helpbox have been preparing my accounts for over 5 years and I've always had a fantastic service. The team work with me on my taxes and help with any issues that have come up such as my mortgage application.

Very easy to use website and professional companies on board.

Highly reccomended.

Top service getting you onboard and signed up. Then it all falls downhill. The actual accountants who do the work are mostly not fully qualified, have poor communication skills, unorganised and most likely will stress you out.

Might as well do the accounts myself.

They have filed two sets of accounts for me - each rubbish service. I have given them 2 stars as they get there in the end but with a lots chasing, corrections & etc More...

I gave this firm a full years worth of business- my company is extremely basic no staff one supplier extremely simple yet they continuously made mistakes , there communication was terrible, they made numerous mistake time after time.

For example:-

Presenting my vat return on the deadline date! And only giving me a few hours to review them before they would submit regardless.. even though all the information was provided well in advance.

I had enough but due to being tied in to a 12 month contract I full filled the 12 months and found a much much better firm to work with.

Now low and behold I’ve received multiple invoices and fees (for leaving early even though it’s been 12 months and notice was given). The figures don’t even make sense. Multiple emails have been sent questioning everything and I’ve had no reply. Terrible customer service.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE- useless firm that just outsources its work.

HELPBOX Uk is a trading name of taxsense- google taxsense you will see there true reviews and it’s even showing as closed!.
