We are so happy we asked Helen to design our loft conversion project. We live in the Brunswick conservation area and initially wanted a "room under a roof" but Helen recommended a mansard conversion because of the additional space it would give us and because it matched loft conversions on our street. Helen did four designs in total and we went with the double mansard option. We could not be more delighted with Helen's design as it's pretty much added a new third floor to our property and was so much cheaper than moving. The space is absolutely beautiful and feels like a little holiday flat upstairs. Helen was also an absolute pleasure to work with, we have no hesitation in recommending her. Just been through the process of having a utility room designed for the rear of my property,
Helen has been very patient with us as we've never done this before, Helen spent some time with us sorting out what we wanted and were allowed to do under the permitted works rules.
As the process went on the main problem Helen pointed out to us was we had a white water pipe running under the site.
She liaised with southern water and even got us a £600 rebate and finally sorted out a build over agreement.
we are now in the process of finding a builder to carry out the work.
I can't recommend Helen enough just for her patience alone and the thing we loved the most was that you could give her a call with a question and she would explain.

What do you love most about your job?
I love working with space, light and materials to create beautiful and harmonious solutions. I love the fact that each project brings a new challenge, and I get much satisfaction enabling Clients to get the best out of their project .
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been interested in buildings and the environment we live in since and early age. I worked in architect's offices for many years and more recently decided to become self-employed. This is due partly to the flexibility suiting my family life, but also so that I can choose my own projects and have direct contact with Clients.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, if sufficient information and photographs are available to allow a full understanding of the project. If working with an existing building, measured drawings of this building will be required. Or, at the very least, a few key measurements to get started. It can also be helpful if the Client can prepare a walk round video of the site.
Video call meetings can be held and proposals can be emailed and then discussed on screen.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Meetings can be held on line, or outside wherever possible.

I can assess buildings and sites in terms of their development potential and will prepare outline layouts and reports to show possibilities.
