Q&As

My passion is to help individuals connect with their true selves and to overcome who they are not.
Most clients who come to me first think there is something wrong with them or they are broken. I’m here to assure you there is nothing wrong with you it’s all from trauma and you’re living in Flight, Fight, Freeze, or Fawn. When we live from these responses we lose ourselves and our focus. Our attention goes to places where we fear and where we place our attention is where we place our energy.
Whichever approach you choose for you I can help you with your individual visions/wants.

We undergo rigorous training and continue to stay updated on the latest therapeutic approaches and research findings to ensure that you receive the highest quality of care.

All services will be via Zoom or Teams.
This is a way we can work together in the comfort of your own home

Services

My aim is to enable individuals to grow within themselves in a safe, accepting environment, allowing each person to explore their difficulties.

Counselling helps individuals to explore their feelings and emotions, whether it is from the past or in the present day. As an Integrative Counsellor, I work in both the past and the present.
The help that I offer ranges from short-term counselling, focused on a specific problem such as a major life change or bereavement, to open-ended therapy which is a deeper personal exploration.
And more...
My aim is to work with people to understand their anxieties so that they can come to know themselves better and learn to accept themselves, and to find their own meanings and ways through their questions and difficulties. Over the years working with Clients I have come to realize It’s not the Trauma or Life event/situation that is the real problem because we tend to face these in the moment, it’s what we make up about ourselves after that can be the real issue. This can become part of our identity and we tend to feel lost, trapped, powerless, weak etc. Counselling can help individuals understand these beliefs to be able to then let go of the ones that have not been working for them and allow their true identity to be present.

Counselling sessions will be confidential and focused on individual needs.

Working with couples is unique to each couple.

When you have two people come together who both have had different upbringings challenges will arise at one time or another, and for some, these issues can escalate to a point where they jeopardise the relationship.
Difficulties with communication, intimacy, jealousy, raising children, life changes, illness and bereavement can all bring additional stress to relationships, and sometimes it can feel impossible for a couple to resolve these without help.
Counselling aims to help couples look at their relationship and at how they relate to each other, to think about how past experiences may be contributing to current difficulties.
Couples counselling allows space for the exploration of feelings and thoughts and offers the opportunity for a couple to improve communication and understand each other better.

spirituality is unique to each individual. In short, a person who engages in a spiritual practice yearns to connect with something bigger than their self and deeper than the materialistic and egotistic dimensions of their lives.

Things like meditation, being in nature, prayer, being in a spiritual community, yoga, and many other practices can foster your sense of Spirituality.

Traditional psychology tends to focus on the life experiences that wounded our sense of wholeness. Spirituality gets you directly back in touch with that wholeness because it rests on the premise that wholeness is always at the very ground of your being. You are already whole. That sense of wholeness may have been buried deep but it is always there within you, waiting to be rediscovered.

In the process of spiritual counseling, I enjoy helping clients explore and ultimately connect with their spirituality that is specifically useful for them.

My aim is to help you strengthen your connection to whatever you feel called towards. The ultimate goal is to help you integrate your spirituality more into your daily life to increase happiness, peace, and a deep connection to yourself and the world around you.

The only moment we have and that is real is this very moment.

The past no longer exists and the future has not happened so living presently Connects to a more fulfilling life.
Meditation is an important part to mindfulness because it allows us to bring our focus to breathing and bringing your attention back to your breath whenever your mind wanders.

Practicing increases our attention span and our ability to focus better.

Meditation and breathing reduces anxiety and stress and allows us to live in the present moment without worry.

My vision is to help Clients connect to the present moment to work on their challenges using this approach which part of this work is being comfortable with uncomfortable emotions to be able to let these go to live each moment with inner freedom, peace, and clarity. To connect with their true nature and to stop searching outside.
