We have been extremely pleased with the solar panels with battery provided by Greenscape Energy - we have been self-sufficient in electricity and hot water for 6 months! We subsequently asked for 2 more panels after finding that the survey had only measured space for 10. An extra 2 panels were fitted a few weeks later with agreement on price after friendly discussion. Staff were brilliant. Apart from survey glitch, the only criticism would be that lots of small plastic pieces were found in the garden after installation - there should be a system for collecting these on the roof during installation. Just completed my solar and battery installation by Greenscape and so far so good. Pre installation team very helpful with product information and survey. Installation guys very professional and respectful of property. And again happy to answer my many questions. Also patient when helping to set up app on phone showing how your system is working etc. Going forward if the after care (if needed) is as good I will be very happy with Greenscapeenergy Ltd. Before deciding to use them I spoke to other people in my village who used them and 5 years after their installation they have had no problems and are also happy customers. Had a Solar + battery install a couple of weeks ago. 5 star service right from the initial contact to the completion of all the paperwork post install. A special mention to the guys who performed the install who worked quickly and efficiently. You can tell from the neatness of the wiring etc. that they take pride in what they do. They installed pylon batteries and didn't flag up any issues when purchased. But they now charge a lot of money to come round and put them right for the winter. Previously they did this remotely for free, knowing it's a potential issue with the batteries they installed. Otherwise the batteries go into hibernation mode and are useless. They then charge even more to put it right, outside of the guarantee it seems. It's too complicated for many people to do this themselves via the complex settings. Not impressed. More...

I had a largish (6 kWp) solar system installed. Surveyor was excellent , knowledgable and happy to talk through issues. Agreed install with inverter and battery in my preferred location with minimal outside cable routing. Price was competitive after getting quotes and, so far, FOX inverter and battery are excellent. Greenscape roofer clearly knew his trade and after inspection of rafters install is neat with no damage beyond a few wayward screws. Electrical install was subbed to a local (to me) company who did a very neat job indeed. As its a large system paperwork is still pending, but this is the DNO rather than Greenscape. The scaffolding was up for 2 weeks but removed promptly after I pushed. Overall I am very pleased. Occasionally response to emails is a bit slow but every time I have pushed I have had a prompt response. Mixed bag of results. Sales and information process excellent. Installation let down by scaffolding sub contractors and therefore messing around with dates. Extremely poor communication, radiator in bedroom been broken for over 9 weeks. Still not been fixed (6 attempts where i was assured it was working). Very difficult to get a straight answer off anyone. More interested in when I will settle invoice than doing the job properly. Been waiting 2 weeks for a new radiator. Not satisfied with the Job not paying. 2 weeks to install heat pump, over 10 weeks later still not working as it should. Messaged complaints manager twice, no reply. Some of the workmen have no respect for other peoples property, carpet skirting board and wall were all burnt as plumber couldn't be bothered to use protective mat while soldering. Don't get heat pump if you have micro bore pipes. 3 years on heat pump still isn't working, still randomly looses pressure, over heats, under heats. Office still don't answer emails and don't answer complaints in 1 week like on the complaints procedure listed on their website. 6 months after still no resolution found! Bet any money the heat pump with mysterially break a few times winter 2025 too, why give up the previous trend of not working over winter. I'm still convinced System was not designed properly as they didn't take into account micro bore pipes! More...

Was promised good will gesture (by manager Michelle) after very bad service and a monitoring system of the solar array that keeps blacking out to this day. Also my grass was damaged after they had scaffolding up for almost half a year doing only 3 days work on it. Now when it is time to pay up... they are blanking me. They tried to put the blame on SolarEdge, but they sold me the product (and marketed it) so they are liable. Also honoring your guarantee when repairing the product you sold me is not a good will gesture, which I am sure Josh (the CEO) will try and do in his reply as well. I had solar panels and a battery installed by Greenscape Energy in October 2024, as part of the Solar Together initiative. While the installation itself went relatively smoothly, the post-installation service has been very disappointing, especially given the significant investment of nearly £8,000. I received minimal guidance on how to use the system effectively and have struggled to get support when needed. Despite contacting Greenscape Energy multiple times and even putting in complaints I have not had a a resolution to my concerns. The battery that I was told had to be situated outside does not work properly at low temperatures and even the data sheet from Fox shows this. Why they would install a battery outside that cannot cope with low temperatures seems bizarre to me. So far they had not responded to my suggestions to relocate the battery to the loft or to supply a battery designed to operate within the parameters of UK weather. Currently they have no workable solution to the battery problem, the only solution is to hold a higher reserve charge rate but this does no affect the operating parameters of the battery which are fixed. I have emailed many many times and given my phone number for a manager to call me and there has been no call from anyone. While the panels work well, the ongoing and unresolved issues with the battery combined with the lack of customer service, significant overcharging for additional items such as 'pigeon proofing' (some wire around the panels which cost 500 )and support after installation has been very disappointing. Recently had our solar and battery installation by Greenscape and the experience from start to finish was first rate. Although doing a lot of research ourselves their surveyor gave us information we hadn’t considered and was very thorough in checking and talking through the installation, expected generation, and payback time, far more than the other companies we considered. They were also the only company that had a technical team that knew about Home Assistant, we were keen to get data from our inverter into it for home automation and they gave us pointers on inverter choice, articles and compatibility. Installation only took one day and their installation crew were extremely professional and tidy, worked hard to get it all done but always took the time to explain what they were doing, leaving us with a system configured to be self sufficient on day one. Once Greenscape had confirmation that a post install inspection was not required they immediately organised the scaffolding to be removed, just two days after installation. Following acceptance of the quote they provided the team have been very patient in waiting for planning permission to come through. Installation went very smoothly, no mess, no fuss just two extremely hard working guys in Mark and Luke.The system is working well and we are amazed at the savings we are already achieving. Greenscape gave good advice and great service, from choosing a PV system, ordering the hardware, installing and commissioning the batteries, diverter and inverter and dealing with the scaffolding contractors. The scaffolding went up in half a day, installation took 6 hours and the scaffolding was removed as soon as the system had been certified. Emails and phone calls have been dealt with politely and promptly and the company seem very professional and committed to green energy, having installed several other systems in the area over the last 10 years. Shoddy installation work by subcontractor electrician and roofer. Left with an untidy jumble of wiring in airing cupboard; roofer removed 2 roof tiles and replaced them with flimsy Dektite EPDM/silicone covers (contrary to manufacturers installation instructions); 12v DC safety containment modules not fitted as per manufacturers instructions; roofer broke 3 of my gutter brackets humping panels onto roof on his own; iBoost unit overheated several times and shut down automatically due to not being paired properly with the cylinder thermostat; manufacturers mandatory electrical installation paperwork not completed by electrician; work site left in dirty and scruffy state - clips, packaging and cable tie offcuts strewn everywhere. Greenspace have sent their own people to rectify these issues, I suspect because I refused to pay the bill until they did. The only positive is that the equipment seems to be fit for purpose, and is generating electricity as intended - so far. As well as raising my complaints with Greenspace, I contacted the Suffolk Council quango "Solar Together" who were promoting this scheme and the company, to find out about their compliance and governance arrangements, and received the anticipated useless fob off response about what a fantastic job everyone was doing. I wonder if Greenspace are in bed with them and being allowed to mark their own homework. I'm waiting for the next heavy downpour of rain to see if my roof leaks. Grrr! More...

The initial survey went well. I agreed to the proposed installation plan as they had listened to our concerns. From saying yes to the installation I had to chase to get timescales and information. The scaffolding was late and arrived at the same time as the installation team. Luckily it out worked ok and the installation was completed in a day. One aspect of the install I thought was unsafe. The internal distribution board was installed outside. It may be IR65 but it's not lockable to prevent access. It took some time to get that resolved. Yet again, I was the one chasing and the delivery manager failed to contact me once although it was passed to him to resolve. Do you want to have scaffolding up for 6 weeks for an 8 hour job? Then these are the people for you. On the good side. The people we met were very good. The surveyor was professional and pleasant. The two installers were also excellent. Lovely guys who worked hard during what was a very short day in terms of light. Where Greenscape have massively let us down is with planning. Not surprisingly on such a short day the install overran. As a consequence we will now have to wait 3-4 weeks for the install to finish. This leaves us with scaffolding for 6 weeks, which means other jobs we have planned cannot go ahead. I asked for an install of a new inverter ane extra battery. The install went ok but I soon noticed that the batteries were not charging to 100%. I contacted greenscape and they agreed to send out an electrician. This young lad spent all day at the property and in the end told me that the batteries would never reach 100%. I told him this was nonsense. I tried calling greenscape over several days, left messages and emails to get back to me but nothing was forthcoming. In the end I went directly to their offices to ask what the problem was. They were unsure what the problem might be and after some negotiation they agreed to send out a more experience installer. The installer arrived on the due date and spent several hours trying to get my set of batteries to charge to 100%. It took him several calls to the battery manufacture and eventually they agreed to replace the one faulty battery. The installer had to come back to connect the new battery as he had spent nearly 10hrs trying to get everything sorted and his day was done. A date was arranged and the battery duly installed and the system now charges to 100%. The more experienced installer was excellent and kept me updated as to what he was doing and why. The sad thing about Greenscape is a lack of real customer service. Returning emails and phone calls to deal with customer concerns is, I would have thought, essential. Greenscape had already installed solar panels for us 18 months ago and did a great job. They were also responsive to queries I had about the set-up in the first few weeks. So I approached Greenscape to discuss the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump. A rep came round and did a detailed survey. Our house is already EPC A, and most of our radiators are the right type. We had a gas boiler. The proposed solution and costing looked readily achievable and was also eligible for the Government grant of £7,500. So we went ahead. The installers were prompt and worked very hard and efficiently to remove the boiler and install the new system and several tanks - in our airing cupboard. The Heat Pump failed to start on "GO" day due to an assembly error in the Heat Pump. It took them a day on the helpdesk to track down the fault which was then easily rectified and the system went live. It works well! It took them an extra day to finalise the installation and hand over due to the delay in the commissioning of the heat pump. The installers were fantastic - a plumber and an electrician. Plus an apprentice. They tidied up well. I had a query after a few days and Greenscape have responded to come up with a solution. I can recommend this company. More...
