The customer support guy (Umesh Chandra) blocked my IP address because he did not want to provide support. He blocked my IP for 15 to 20 minutes and left the chat by sending a generic message that I stepped away. I am a web developer and have delegated access to many accounts I manage. Recently I contacted support about a problem with cpanel email. First of all he reply so late to my messages and after wasting time he said that i contact email support. When I asked why not on this support he blocked my IP address. On again contact another support person Rakshitha J wasted almost 1 hour and even failed to understand the basic problem. They dont even have basic knowledge of domain, hosting and emails. System is sending me an email and the support person is not listening. I paid for a subscription and went in to create an email, already straight from the beginning I was having issues. I tried to contact support but support is non-existent. literally the chat button DOES NOT WORK. Not a good sign if you're trying to set up a website for a business. I found their phone number for support so I texted them to just give me a refund since I paid for a subscription today. they kept asking for an order number that DOES NOT EXIST even though my credit card details show that the payment went out. I kept saying this but now they won't even respond. IT'S AS IF THEY DELIBERATELY DELAYING AND AVOIDING TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO GIVE ME BACK MY REFUND. If you'd like to move your domain to a different register they won't give you your authorization code (any other register I used do it immediately). They require you to CALL them to get the code to add as much friction as possible to prevent you from moving away. So I called the number. It said my market isn't supported for voice support 🤷🏻♂️ It said I could send a WhatsApp message though. I contacted them via WhatsApp, but they didn't know what to do, opened an "incident" case and said I'd get contacted via email in 5 business days. Two weeks later no email. I contacted them via WhatsApp again and had to explain everything from scratch (they couldn't access the history, even when I provided the incident #). They didn't know what to do and said they would ask the supervisor and ghosted me, never heard from them again. So tired of GoDaddy trying to "sell by inconvenience." They chronically charge you for things you did not purchase or authorize and make it an hours-long administrative nightmare to get a refund and cancel the service. Today, even though we cancelled a domain name weeks ago, we got charged for their "Email Essentials" service -- over one hundred dollars. We naturally assumed that cancelling the domain name would have cancelled all affiliated services, since unless one owns the domain name, they do not have access to the email. A check on our account online gave us the runaround. It is very confusing and not well laid out. It is difficult to determine what you are charged and for what. When you find out, you are advised to contact customer service, but they don't give you the number. After investigating online to find the customer service phone number, a ten-minute call there tells you that you must complete the request by text message. You received a text that indicates they are running behind 15 minutes. When they finally text you (about 25 minutes later) they ask for a series of security codes texted to you. This process is slow and takes about 45 minutes -- just to cancel a service and get a refund of an unauthorized charge. Obviously, GoDaddy hopes that sometimes their customers simply will not go through this and just pay the bill for lack of wanting to waste their morning or afternoon jumping through all of these hoops. This one matter took all morning. We spend about one or two mornings a month doing this with GoDaddy. They truly are a pathetic company run by the very worst bottom-feeding scoundrels you can find. How do these people look at themselves in the mirror every day. How can they go home and tell their kids they work for GoDaddy when they operate in such a disgraceful fashion? We own a busy e-commerce site that is linked to a bank account that accepts our payouts. Could not change that through the admin panel without adding a new account, which we do not have set up for the business. Support wasted an hour of our time to only respond that they couldn't change or stop the payouts. They could only cancel resubscription (like believe me, we won't be resubscribing to anything) Meanwhile, money sent via GoDaddy payouts to a compromised bank account now disappear.
