How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The first step is to assess the structural integrity of your garage. The walls, foundation, and roof should be in good condition. If there are signs of cracks, subsidence, or other damage, you may need structural repairs before converting.
- **Ceiling Height:** The ceiling should be high enough to allow for insulation and any necessary flooring, typically requiring at least 2.4 metres (around 8 feet) in height from floor to ceiling after insulation and flooring are added.
