I absolutely love Gokay fitness. I'm around 9 weeks into a 12 week program and will be continuing to go when I've completed it. My PT Murat has given me the confidence to really push myself after years of no exercise and is very friendly and encouraging.

It can be hard but they care about your wellbeing and never push you too far. I've been managing injuries I had before I joined and I'm already getting stronger.

Gok is incredibly lovely and I get a genuine feeling of care from everyone.

I did Gokay's 3 month transformation programme. Gokay is so kind and professional. He works with you to come up with an exercise programme and diet that fits into your lifestyle and give you the results you want.

I really enjoyed training with him and his employee Natalie for my personal training sessions, they were challenging but encouraging, and my home workouts are excellent and I will continue to do them. I have seen a big change in my muscle mass and recognised the importance of consistent weight training for my personal health and fitness.
The only thing I didn't manage to handle within the 3 months is my diet, I think if you eat a typical English, 3 meals a day diet Gokay's programme is fab but as I'm mostly plant-based and am more of a grazer it was harder to work within the nutritional programme he has already set up. Saying that Gokay was always willing to work with me trying different things and with his daily messages you become more aware of what you're eating and your nutritional intake so my diet is still better than it was before this programme.

Good luck to you if you choose to train with Gokay, it's well worth the work!

Gokay is great and explained every aspect of my strength and conditioning programme to me, which reallly helped me to understand what I had to do. Gokay is a brilliant motivator and really helps you to believe in yourself too which is great.  His sessions are hard work but fun and you can really feel the effects afterwards.   He tackles lots of different areas of fitness and I have found it helpful for strengthening my back and helping my posture. I look forward to my session with Gokay each week as he puts so much into my programme. When I started in March, I was barely able to lift a kettle bell and press ups were a definite no!   He really varies the session so you don't get bored and keeps you motivated and corrects you as you go along. I'd just like to recommend my personal trainer.  I am training twice a week with Gokay and i had no idea how enjoyable it can be when you are with someone who knows their stuff and how to work on specific areas. Since I started goin to the gym a number of years ago, I did quite a few diferrent types of training - heavy weights, circuit training, running, martial arts, aerobics, spining etc. But having started going to Gokays sessions, nothing comes close in terms of building lean strength and improving core stability. The sessions are challennging and Gokay pushes you  and keeps you focussed and<span id="moreReview177955" class="hide"> determined.</span> More...

Insight from my book:

Throughout our childhood, I was athletic and sporty and my sister struggled with her weight. I could eat almost anything I wanted and not worry that I would put on weight; my sister, meanwhile, visited the best dieticians and professors in the Turkish city of Izmir to help her lose weight. Nothing worked.

Why was she not able to come down to a normal healthy weight even though she was on a permanent diet?

Was she doing something wrong or was she meant to be obese and we just needed to accept it?

At the age of eight or nine, when most of my friends were discussing their favourite Atari computer game, this family situation was making me think about the reasons why people are overweight and the psychology behind the issue.

Growing up in a family with a sister who was the polar opposite to me gave me a tremendous opportunity to observe, make comparisons, test and study weight loss, fitness and wellbeing. It also made me very empathetic.

After my mum died of a heart attack when I was thirteen, my gorgeous sister effec- tively became my mum and we became even closer. All I wanted was to help her solve her big problem. As the years passed, I realised that it’s not so easy to give professional help to a family member.

When I was sixteen, I joined my local gym and became a regular customer, working out five or six days a week. The community at the gym was so supportive that within three years, I found myself on stage representing Turkey in an international bodybuilding contest; I became a national sportsman and ‘Mr Turkey’. Fitness had become a big part of my life and I knew that I wanted to help people to get fit, lose weight and be healthy.

My team and I deliver results.

Since 2010 the people I've helped have lost over 1000 kilos of body fat in total. This is roughly just below 160 stone which is equal to the entire body weight of 14 average men! Throughout my years of training hundreds of people, I've come across exactly the same issues with almost every single person. These issues have to be resolved if you want to lose weight, get fit and feel healthy.

People who succeed in their training goals are the ones who can address each of these 3 key elements:

Lack of Knowledge: You don’t know what to do or where to start from.

Easy to Quit: Nobody keeps you accountable for getting fit and healthy.

Lack of Motivation: You get bored. You are not motivated to make changes in your life.
