Jack explained carefully and clearly at the outset the work he and his team would do to renovate my sandstone patio and provided a contract of work to which he and I were signatories. The work of jet washing the patio, re-laying loose slabs, re-grouting the joints and sealing the slabs was completed efficiently and very satisfactorily in about a day and a half. The patio now looks as splendid as it did about 5 years ago when laid. The only minor quibble I have is that the some of the excess jointing compound was not swept up but rather swept onto the patio verges. Warning: Henry came across as being very professional and most importantly trustworthy. However, do not trust this man! He gave me a quote for a patio in my back garden and a small wall in my front garden but insisted on splitting the cost of the two jobs even though he gave me a quote for the overall job. He majorly over priced the wall in the front garden and insisted that I signed a contract for that amount before he started the work! When I told him that I would never pay that price for a small wall he told me not to worry as it would come off the balance anyway so I wouldn't lose out. I should have noticed the red flags at that point but put my trust in this guy! He plagued me for cash as soon as he arrived and once he got his money he wasn't interested in doing my patio in the back garden. He kept on adding on costs from his original quote even saying that he wouldn't do the job if I didn't let them put up a new fence at a very large cost! He knew that I was a single mother on a budget and that I had a disabled child and I even told him that my children had unexpectedly and suddenly lost their father last October but that seemed to encourage him even more! I would urge you to steer well clear! The only thing I would add is that the two workmen who did the job were very friendly and they did do a good job on the wall even though I paid well over the odds for it! More...

I can highly recommend Global Driveways. They were very efficient and prompt and they made a very nice job of cleaning and sanding my very long drive way. I would definitely use them again.

Just had my patio re-pointed by this company and was very disappointed with the finished result. I communicated this to them and they promised to come back to sort it out, but that was 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard when they are coming.
