Roof Cleaning
A not so happy experience. The boss Richard was quick to respond and in fact he kept calling me once I posted the job. When I finally got a chance to take his call, he offered a reasonable price to clean my roof and offered to do so right on the same day, with 7 years guarantee.
I was sceptical and never trust any of these so called guarantee, I just want the roof cleaned. He promised a nice and clean job with all debris and moss removed from my property, they all claimed so, I insisted I won't pay if the cleaning was not done properly, especially the moss falling on my gardens.
Accepted his quote and offer the job to him right away (which I regretted now). They did come quickly and started the job. 2 guys scratched the moss off the roof tiles by hand, which I am fine with that as I don't want any high pressure washing. I had to constantly asking the guys to redo certain parts when they asked whether I am happy with the work. They lack self awareness of the quality of their work.
The most shocking part was their pushing of payment before the work was done (application of biocide and final cleaning of all debris around). I insisted I will pay when everything was done, and they started being rude, shouting at me, claiming I am not gonna pay for work, etc. They just use half bucket of soapy water and brushed on a small portion of the roof and said chemically treated. I insisted and then the boss Richard threatened me saying as I am not paying he will come and put all moss back ofn the roof and remove the bedding and cement applied on my roof ridges. He and one of his guy onsite was so so rude that I find it appalling and I don't feel safe too as I am dealing with 4 guys by myself.
I paid 600 first with 250 outstanding to show I am a honest customer and I do paid, but I didn't back off and insist all the work need to be done.
They then came with a bottle of weed killer and apply it on my roof again, though I don't think it's a thorough job, I just have to accept it, together with many moss on my front and back garden.
I ended up with just a hand written invoice with no mentioning of any guarantee, and the boss was still angrily shouting at me.
The roof was cleaned, to be honest, just not 100% satisfied that I have to perform QC by myself the whole day, and the horrible rudeness and inaccurate accusations, shouting, etc.
Credit to the young lad Cameron who was comparatively a bit more polite in the process, I hope he can find a better job somewhere.
Avoid at all cost. I would give zero star if possible.

Turned up late said job would take all day did it in about 3 hours only cleaned up when I said I wouldn't pay then didn't do a good job myself and husband had to clean up wanted cash but paid by on line banking total cowboys

The 4 workmen & so called boss richard arrived 11-20 am to remove moss from my roof tiles having quoted me a estimate of £800 When i said i had received a additional qoute for £395 that was to steam clean the moss off, richard replied they still use a jet wash as well ( they dont i said) we use a wire brush to do it he then reduced the estimate to £500. They went up scraped the moss off finished by 13-10 pm 1hr 45mins moss all over the front garden likewise at the rear too they went to three other customers in the street to re--point there ridge tiles in between doing my work, not really ideal, then the arrogant richard said you near plastic roof liner inverts which fit under 1st layer tiles above the gutters to stop birds getting under picking off some of the felting quoting a further £750 on top of the orriginal £500 price ie £1250 total. i argued that it doesnt cost that much extra material & labour, richard thhen reduced the price to £700 all in. they put all the inverts in back & front & replaced 3 tiles which cost £1-50 a piece. Anyway they spent a further hour doing that work roughly 3 & half hours all in all then richard became nasty saying he required the ammount transferring into his bank today, i said you have not cleaned up yet then i will, they made a poor effort and still kept going backwords and forwards to the other customers properties in between after a lot of arguing i put the £700 transfer through for them wef next day transfer date. Outcome they are a load of fly-by night workers do not go near them at all. Over priced quotes/estimates shoddy workmenship dont clean up after them either (took us 2hrs with a garden vac & brush ourselves aferwards) so pleased be warned dont use this company to do any work for you okay they are rubbish!!!! hope this helps More...

Just to advise caution-the workmen who came had used the name Global Roofing but were no the company on the listing. Thye did the repair Ok but put pressure on me to authorise more work and pay in cash, reducing his original price for extra work from £600 to £250 the more I resisted . I have given their mobile number to the owner of the real Global Roofing company on your list and have given a 5 star review because I'm pretty sure the real company wold have been mich better to work wiht More...

Richard called out to give me a quote after responding to a job i put on Bark. Gave me a time he'd be calling and kept me updated when he got held up. Quoted for the job and even though I thought we needed new gutters he offered me a cheaper solution. Him and his guys were really knowledgable and honest so i agreed for them to do the job there and then. They fixed a leak in the roof, showed us pictures, before, after and during so we could see exactly what the problem was and how they'd repaired it. Cleaned out all the gutters, repaired them where needed and even fixed up some broken tiles and ridge tiles. Although it took longer than anticipated there was no messing around with the price, they stuck to the agreed quote and cleared up after themselves. Time will tell if the problem has been solved but the work was really competitively priced and came with a warranty and an assurance that any problems they would come back to sort things out. They arrived on the following day to my request. They assessed the job and gave me a verbal estimate and stated they could commence immediately as it was a fine sunny day. They prepared the work to be undertaken and then left to get the required bits. By the time they returned the man on site had the main job a chimney and surrounding roof repair ready. This was fixed and they moved onto various other jobs requiring attention as instructed by me. This included re pointing ridge tiles, small repair to broken slate, and then waterproofing and sealing all the flashing along porch and conservatory, sealing of the leaded ends of the roofing on conservatory and other small pointing jobs.
