I think the main point is to have a clear understanding of the clients need, I work in a lot of different genera's of photography and understand that not every client has a good understanding of the photography, the photography business and the amount of background work involved.
Communication to establish the full extent of the shoot number of people, size of event, location and budget, together with how many and the final use for the images, then hopefully no surprises during the session.

I like to photograph different people, in different locations. Each job or location brings new challenges, from a simple Headshot to a Full Project with hundreds of images.

I have taken photographs for many years, starting with film and a darkroom back in the day, then moving into digital.
In the early days I would take photographs as an armature, while developing the skill needed to produce an acceptable, consistent result then eventually getting a regular booking to cover sport on weekends, this was the start of my Freelance work, eventually going full time now I work in different areas of photography, and cover most subject, I have met some great people and worked in some strange places and not frightened to take on a challenge.

I don't fill my diary every week with photography job, I always leave a few days so I can give my clients to best service as possible, as a result my turn around time a usually quicker, proofing within 24hrs, and final delivery within 14 day, depending on the product.
As a freelance I take on a range of different jobs, each very different for one another and each with there own requirements. I have had a lot of experience working in places not quite perfect, with an ability to improvise as needed when the situation changes.
Unlike your local high street photographer, I work only on location, both indoor and outdoor, with no fixed setup, every job is unique, and working on location this allows you as a client to choose where you want the session.

Initially booking are taken online, I work remotely as a location photographer. Attending the venue that has been requested by the client, this can be either indoor or outdoor were I can provide a full photographic service, I use Portable Flash and Soft boxes when needed to provide extra light or add mood to the images.
Every Client will receive an access code to there personal online gallery, full privacy and discretion this gallery in invisible to anyone visiting my site. Depending on the requirements there are a number of options available to order prints, photobooks of download digital files.

Generally restrictions have been lifted, but there are still situations when it might be necessary to wear a mask. This is location dependent, usually a session only involves myself then either the individual +1 or a group who either know or work together.
