What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The best photos are taken during unguarded moments. It's hard standing in front of a camera. Even knowing a photographer is in the room is enough to make people a bit uncomfortable. That's why it's so important that I make myself invisable. So I can take photos of the unguarded moments which you can afterwards treasure forever.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love the most about my job is meeting new people and getting the chance to explore new bits of the world every day. To get a good photo, it's very important to make sure the person in front of the camera feels comfortable. So when coming to my studio for a portrait session, we'll allways start the shoot off with a coffee or tea and a chat so it doesn't feel like jumping into the deep end too much. It's my intention to make you feel as if the camera isn't there anymore which means I can capture that unguarded moment where you are the best version of yourself.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved photography, ever since I got my first little yellow analog camera when I was 12. I must have a million photos of flowers and clouds that I took growing up. Luckily I grew out of that phase quite quickly and started to learn more about composition and all the technology behind what a photographer does. Friends and family started to hire me to take photos at their events and take portrait sessions for them and the business started from there. I feel very lucky that I get to translate my passion for photography in a job I get to do every day!

When working on portrait photography I prefer working with natural light in an enviroment where you feel at ease. We'll have a coffee and a chat and I'll take pictures for as long as it takes to make you feel like the camera isn't there anymore. The best photos happen in an unguarded moment.

There's nothing like the challenge of finding the right shot during a a live show. As a photographer you have little to no control over your surroundings, you're just along for ride and it's thrilling.

My camera goes with me whenever I go hiking, come rain or shine. So you'll see quite some nature shots popping up here and there. There's nothing like a good walk to clear the head.
