How long have you been in business?
As a sole trader 20 years, however, due to growth we are now a limited company.
What guarantee does your work come with?
All work is guaranteed, Resin Bound, patios etc carries a ten year guarantee, fencing 5-7 years, although all work should last longer, this is the limit of what we can offer as the manufacturers allow this as an approved installer.
What do you love most about your job?
In all honesty, everything. The greatest feeling, if we have to narrow it down, is seeing the before and after photo's, knowing you have done a great job. Around 92% of our work is by previous customer recommendation, so that is also very heart warming. Building a team that love their job has been great, it means that I don't ever have to deal with poor work or a lack of effort! It's just a great group to work with.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked doing a paper-round when I was 13, and have took on extra rounds when other kids phoned in sick. I have always worked hard for my family so they do not struggle in life. I started my own business as I worked for a great boss who retired, and I wanted to treat other employees the way he treated me.
Why should our clients choose you?
Our pricing is great, but the price should actually not be the deciding factor. In honesty, all patio's driveways etc all look the same when they first go down. It's what happens in years to come that's important! It's the quality of the materials, the skill and experience of the trades people, and the all round service that is important. We get around 7/10 jobs we quote for, but that is because most are by recommendation from other clients, that is why we have grown, yet are still a good old fashioned family business and always will be.
