There are a lot of good things about MW, such as: - The friendly and very helpful staff - The fact that maintenance is quick to respond - The modern flats they offer - The furniture inside is also really nice and sleek - The gym is usable if you go in the mornings (evenings tend to get pretty busy) to name a few. There are some major issues, though, and these are not easy to pass by: - The electricity provider is OVO (at least that was the case for our flat) and it seems to me it's on the pricier side. We were keeping the flat at around 20-21 degrees during the winter months and the bill was quite easily £220 and even over sometimes. Pretty much all of which was due to heating (source: OVO's mobile app) as the heaters in the flats are quite inefficient and take a long time to warm up the place. - The water tank is a bit tricky to figure out ( we still hadn't by the time we moved out) because it only has one button which is responsible for turning on the "boost" function to either 30min, 1h, or 2h depending on the number of times you press it. Simple enough. The problem is that it seems to not be working after around 23-00 o'clock because no matter how long you leave it on past that point no additional water gets heated, only whatever you had left prior to that which means that if you need to take a shower at 00 or 1am, then here's hoping you turned it on at 9 for 2 hours in order to have some left. - The fittings around the flat have been done to a sub-par standard by the contractor they hired. This isn't their fault, of course, but things like parts of the kitchen cupboards, and other small bits tend to un-stick after a few months, leaving a gap between them in the wall, where water gets trapped for example, or are just left there, sticking out and looking quite ugly. - The paint is very pretty in person but be very careful not to scratch it with anything because even with a barely-moist magic eraser the matte finish comes off and it starts looking a bit ugly. - The elephant in the room: If you might need your deposit back after moving out, then this is not the place for you. Before moving in we also read some reviews on here and elsewhere that said people weren't getting their deposit back and we didn't really believe it but it's true. Our official move-out date was 23rd April, and they're supposed to return the agreed amount (in our case it was the full deposit) in 10 calendar days after moving out (so around the 3rd or 4th May in our case would've been fine). It's now the 28th May and there's still no sign of the deposit, despite the fact that we've chased them at least twice a week since the 6th May. They always come back with an excuse similar to "it's an issue that finance have to deal with but we'll chase them again now and call you back when they reply..." and, you guessed it, they never call back and the next time we hear from them is when we chase again. This is all despite the fact that the team said it themselves: "It is absolutely a violation of the contract." so they're well aware of the case. Generally, the deposit is insured by TDS (The Deposit Scheme) but there is a catch: you can only dispute the amount and not the timeframe of the deposit return (source: a phone call with TDS support) and if you want to put in an enquiry for them to look into it anyway, it can "take anywhere between 12 and 16 weeks" for that enquiry to even be processed into their system and looked at at all, let alone resolved. So there you have it, guys, it's a really pleasant place to live and there's loads of positives about it but go into it well informed of the aforementioned issues so that there aren't any surprises. Great building and the staff are amazing, I love the building and the rooms are really modern with excellent fittings. Neil the repair man comes around in minutes if you need work done and is a great laugh. The reception staff are great and super helpful too! The facilities are excellent, gym, work area and several social areas to rent privately or share with other residents. I can’t wait for the summer so I can make the most of the roof terrace! I want to say a massive thank you to the night manager (not sure of his name but he loves dogs!), he has been extremely supportive helping my heavily pregnant girlfriend out with a recent emergency when I was away with work. Moved to Leeds just last week and wanted to change it up and live in the city centre. Mustard Wharf was my top choice of rental property - it looked so beautiful in the pictures and I am happy to report that they don't even do it justice! This brand new complex is gorgeous, with stunning, high quality apartments at a reasonable price given the furnishings, dog friendliness, location, and amenities on offer. The on-site staff could not be lovelier, and Ellen made move-in day smooth and seamless. There is a real sense of community and people of all ages enjoying this wonderful space - I don't think I have ever lived anywhere so diverse and so smiley. If you want to embrace city life in Leeds, it is convenient for the station and plenty of shops, but feels like a little oasis the moment you get by the canal. I never want to leave! More...

The management team here are really friendly and helpful. Amie on the main desk has got to be the most efficient and organisation front of house person I have ever come across with a warm smile and bedside manner to match. When packages arrive, a front of house member will organisation the delivery room and and access codes are texting to residents for collection. I can tell when Amie is working because of the speedy time difference between getting an amazon notification for delivery followed by an SMS code from FOH, then when you arrive, the delivery room organisation is MI6 worthy. This is just one example from Amie. I don't know what we would do without her. I'd also like to mention Ellen in the back office, who kindly gave us use of a private workspace / meeting room for an urgent meeting and made every effort to be flexible and accomodating. Excellent location for city centre working and living: so many great bars, restaurants, cafes and shops so close. It's the city centre so it's not traffic-silent, but who wants that? ! Great location, but also great place to live irrespective of location because the design of the residences is so cool: minimalist, crisp and modern, but with softening touches so they're not austere. I can't speak highly enough of PT Workspace and Thiago's personal training in particular. I am very new to personal training and Thiago made sure he took the time to listen to my objectives and work with me from where i was at, building up key muscle groups through functional movements before starting to introduce weights. He is very knowledgeable and has a lot of passion for what he does. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with a trainer who was secretly taking videos of my rear. I confronted him and saw multiple videos and made him delete them. I raised this issue with management and I am shocked to see the trainer is back there training others. A gym and PT studio should be a safe place to exercise and grow body confidence.
