I am a friendly, enthusiastic teacher who loves music and the piano, beginners are a speciality and all ages are welcome! I teach people of all ages and really enjoy teaching children. I am DBS registered.

My approach to music and the piano is that I combine a high technical standard with lots of fun. I believe we are all individuals and therefore thought and planning is required to ensure that the approach is best suited for each student in order that they achieve their full potential.

I use a variety of teaching books for both practical and theory, and other mediums to explore sounds, rhythms and pulse and to add interest and fun. In order to broaden my students’ musical knowledge, I use a variety of sheet music and recorded music to illustrate different styles and types of music and offer suggestions of composers and their works that they can listen to.

I consider my style of teaching to be ‘outside the box’ and having an empathetic approach which enables my students to feel confident and enjoy learning.
